Was Trumps first run any good? Why are people so terrified this time round?

Did I miss something about Trumps initial run? From what I remember, he had COVID to deal with and the George Floyd protests were unprecedented and encouraged by the Democrats.

I also remember the world being a lot more stable during Trumps reign. When Biden took over, Russia invaded Ukraine, the Israel and Palestine conflict started, the pullout in Afghanistan went to hell and the US seemed to have lost respect with China. Even the Roe V Wade thing happened under Bidens watch.

I don't have a dog in the fight. I'm from overseas and I'm just curious and open to different opinions.

Why do people keep saying it’s 20+ million? The official number is around 11 million, and he hasn’t stated any intention of deporting them all.

It wasnt a large focus of the Obama campaign. With a concerted effort Trump should be able to do much more. 20m+ seems over zealous but we will see what can be accomplished when a president wants mass deportation and has majority support from the nation in doing so.

Clinton, Harris and the remain campaign all ran on the idea that anyone who doesn't vote their way is a dim witted fascist. They all positioned themselves as defenders of a liberal consensus which doesn't work for larges swathes of the public. They all surrounded themselves with millionaire, leftwing celebrities. They all lost.

That's the number I have seen and assumed it was true. Quick google shows that it might have come from Marco Rubio who said the 11m number was outdated and 20-30 was more accurate. Immigration groups estimate 10-16.
