It certainly goes both ways but it‘s not symetrical. The snowflake protection is quite the underlying tennet of progressism. More traditionnal people reject. If progressists say „fuck you for not caring about snowflakes“ it‘s coherent. If they say „you are a snowflake for not accepting skowflake protection“ it‘s a fallacy.

Besides, if you look far enough you will find that „snowflake“ and „woke“ were progressist buzzwords that were used positively. But it went too far so now it‘s used as an insult and progressists are trying to use it against the other side with „conservative snowflake lol“ or „what is even woke“. But it fools noone.

I guess I just think of snowflakes as people who can't handle it when they're beliefs get challenged or when the majority of people disagree with their beliefs.

You're aware that that's not evidence though right? It's an assumption, it's a reasonable assumption, but it's not evidence.

However in this case we had information that the guy's family was from a Christian country which gave reasonable doubt to him being Muslim.

Turns out he was Muslim and since the actual evidence came out I have not disputed that.

It seems pretty calm so far. We will see closer to inauguration, but, I see no huge riots or general upheaval.

I actually expected much more anger and out roar. Pleasantly surprised so far.
