Lhw was the best back in the days

How would you rank these fighters based on their ability to win in their respective primes and where would they be ranked now? Jones dc rumble are pretty much guaranteed to be top 3. The rest are all interchangeable;

Machida
Rashad
Chuck liddel
Rampage
Shogun
Hendo
Wanderlei
Belfort

They all have beaten each other at some point. Hendo and belfort spent alot of time changing divisons so i understand that its hard to rate them appropriately.
Hendo beat shogun twice and belfort once
Belfort beat hendo twice albeit towarss the end of his career.
Belfort smashed wanderlei.
Its really difficult to rank them imo.

Before Jones became champ and during the first few of his defenses, LHW was the consensus most stacked division in UFC for years. After Jones murked everybody, it was considered one of the weakest divisions.

I am a huge dc fan but jones defo is the steroid GoAT. No one can beat juiced jones. Maybe if dc juices we can see a split decision go either way. Thats how much of a beast jones is. Even juiced fighters cant beat him.

When Rampage, Shogun, Chuck, Hendo, and Wand all slowed down and Couture moved back down it was considered done. Guys like Jardine, Forrest Griffin and Rashad Evans were finding success. Machida was a good fighter too in that era but he was the beginning of the end.

Wand vs Chuck as awesome as it was, should have happened 3 years earlier.

the LHW staples all aged fucking fast. Shogun was supposed to be the future but he blew out his knees and the dude STILL won the UFC LHW strap.

Rumble, Gus... fuck me man, i dont want to rank anymore, They are all beast in their prime.You can not survive a clean shot from Rumble, nor Chuck, not even Rashad or Machida... a clean shot from Wanderlei, no Chance.

I mean vitor beat him at mw, yeah rumble is much better at lhw but keep in mind vitor wasn't on trt for that fight, I think trt vitor has a good chance of beating anyone on any given night. But then again rumble is also a monster

It is unfortunate. Before Jones we had all these exciting potential champs. He comes in juiced to the gills, destroys everybody, gets busted multiple times and causes a massive shitstain to the LHW division that it still hasn't recovered from. We can't look at these other fighters as the best anymore since they all got destroyed by juiced Jones. No problem with a guy coming in and running a division, but to come, destroy everything and then destroy yourself kind of fucks everybody.

He’s a flash in the pan when you look at the history of the LHW division and more proven greats. Guys like Shogun, Rampage, Liddell, Wanderlei won multiple titles, competed in multiple major organizations, competed/won tournaments, were active and on top for many years

And none of those guys faced dc and none would beat dc even on juice. Dc would ragdoll even trt belfort. Rumble is legit.
