Lfa 124

I've watched Sousa a few times. His grappling is usually excellent but Gafurov's TDD was even better in this one, looked a different fighter to the CS fight.

<WhatItIs>
I mean, it makes sense given he okoy had a week's notice for the contender series fight.

Actually kind of surprised he was the dog given how close his fight with Lineker was, but I didn't pay attention to MMA this week really.

It was more the way that Sousa absolutely rolled over Keshtov that had the odds the way they were I think.

That's been my only loss on the regionals this week though, so win some lose some I guess.

At 3.50 odds I'm back on the Wascar Cruz train

McIntyre/Henderson U1.5 +125 $50 for $62.50

Drunk bet as I just got home from the club, but I think this is a layup fight for Benson Henderson's wife. Other chick has been subbed easily and Maria is a submission fighter.

FA 136 ----- Friday -------

Italo Gomes -120 odds

------------- It's not on tapology but Wellington Prado's reach is 1.75 meters which is 68.89764 inches .... also says his height is 5'6" but tapology says 5'8" lol --- Other guy seems longboy compared to this guy https://www.sftcombat.com/predador https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/bouts/666768-lfa-136-italo-gomes-vs-wellington-predador-prado

Italo Gomes

October 2021: The Standout Fighting Tournament based in Sao Paulo, Brazil had their 30th event on the 23rd of October. The event was headlined by a featherweight bout between Wellington Prado and Thiago Silva. The prelims had a rather amusing fight take place. It was a pillow fight between two women. this prado guy doesn't seem great, he's fighting 133 miles away from where he is based while the other guy is 395 miles away .

My favourite bet this card is 3.20 for Javier Garcia who's a very high paced FW, coming off a competitive loss to Chase Gibson, also competitive with Bruno Souza in a fairly close fight and has dominated everyone else I've seen him fight facing Leandro Gomes who just lost to Askar Askar at 135.

Hyder Amil made it look easy at -130 odds. I bet him blind.

His opponent looked like a bum and Hyder was 6-0 and from the Skrap Pack.

Good omen going into UFC 277.

I wouldn’t say he made it look easy. Chase had his back and got under his neck in round 1 and looked to have the grappling edge.

popped a rib with his body triangle and amil knew he needed a finish in rd 2. Fight could’ve went either way. I had chase winning the 1st. He got flash kod and looked to be in his way to recovering before it was stopped

I was gonna ask what the fuck was he watching? If you only saw the 2nd round then maybe, but he nearly got finished a couple of times in the 1st. Good fight though.

Did okay overall, lost on Gibson, but won on Garcia so up overall.

A lot of apparent mismatches on this card. The most obvious bettable line is Diego Silva (-155) vs. Askar Askar (+125). Best Fight Odds has him listed as #4 UFC Flyweight Askar Askarov, which might have something to do with the opening line being -300.

Askar has decent striking and grappling offence, but poor defence in both areas, IMO. He got outwrestled in the first round by a flyweight wrestler (Ryskulbek Ibraimov) when he was a -300 favourite, and tagged on the feet as well. Silva has a BJJ black belt, but doesn't appear to be a great finisher. Struggles to maintain back control. While I hate to say this about someone who fights for a living, he doesn't seem to have a lot of heart, and doesn't believe in his striking. He throws single strikes, and retreats from all engagements. He seems okay with coasting to a decision loss when things aren't going well. Reach is about the same (~69.5"). I think Silva takes a decision via grappling, but Askar has a path to victory if he can make it primarily a striking contest and get Silva into his pattern of backing up the whole fight. Probably a no-bet for me, unless there's a good o2.5 line.

Anyone see anything they like?

I was hoping for nice odds on Silva he opened very high but by the time I could bet on him he was the favourite. He gave Dan Argueta a hell of a fight.
