They act black now. That's odd to me.
 
Raph. Most relatable. Huge tmnt nerd as a kid. Had a lot of the original comics and toys. Read the newer series they are quite good but they neutered Leo :(

It was a very anti climactic ending. Oh I'll drowned the turtles while simultaneously killing myself!

Meh. Shredder wasnt exactly a deep character. All he did was boss around a bunch of kids dressed as ninjas who robbed shit. If anything Tatsu should have had his own series. He was the guy with all the real charisma. He and Casey Jones shoulda became friends and went on adventures

I was only 4 at the time so I enjoyed it. I've been a fanboy since my earliest memories.

Yeah the first one wasnt great so I didnt even bother with the second one. The new bumblebee movie should prove Bay should stay away from out childhood

Its hard to do shredder a lot of justice in 1.5 hours. His bsck story while not incredibly complex is intertwined with a lot of other bad guys in the tmnt life.

He is far more vicious in the original comics. The first movie ending isnt so far off from the comic one where donatello knocks him off the edge while shredder is trying to use a thermal bomb. Kaboom.

But they had to pg 13 the movie so lots was tone down. Leo and Raph kill/disfigure ppl on the regular in the original series; Leo decapitates the ressurected shredder and drags his body back in a tarp.

If they ever do a reboot, i think Nolan could do them justice. Tmnt is meant to be dark and grungy and realistic despite being utter unrealistic fantasy.

The first movie was the greatest of all.

Well ahead of its time. Still plays well to this day.

The first movie shows a great balance of a dark tone, action, family oriented movie.

The designs of the costumes and old school martial arts choreography out beats purely cgi martial arts type movie anyday.

Shredder was relentless. Some notable scenes

(Great capturing, cinematography, introduction, and dialogue. Nearly 30 years ago for a kids movie. Shredder was op.)





(Loved this scene as it showed what the turtles thought would be a breeze to them realizing they are getting their asses handed to them with leo nearly getting himself killed.

Does anyone remember the NES game? I remember borrowing it from a friend thinking it would be awesome, because, of course, the cartoon was cool. But I don't think I got very far because I was either terrible at the game or it was shitty. More likely a combo of both
