Tired of seeing the over exaggeration of Conor's wins and losses, Yes, he's human, Yes he's still an amazing fighter.

Anyways, What did you guys think of Shevchenko? I was impressed even with the loss, she looked tentative to start but once she got into her groove she was really killing it against an elite opponent. She showed off how quick she is with her striking/counters and just how effective her muay thai can be. That plum clinch was pretty nasty against a bigger opponent and she utilized her elbows well.

Much respect to Nunes, but I can't help but imagine what that fight would've looked like if it was 5 rounds. I hope they give her a good chance to work up the rankings because I really think she can do some damage.

Especially if she can keep developing her positioning on the ground, she showed heart but there's always room to grow. Who do you think they should put her up against next?

Her success in the third round was more due to Nunes gassing, as usual, than anything.

Shevchenko's main problem is that she is undersized and would be better fighting in a 125 division.

Was this the girl who is supposed to beat Holly or something.

Or I guess I should say is supposed to beat Tate now

i wasnt that impressed. She could have worked much harder to finish in the 3rd

This is an MMA forum so I don't believe we're supposed to talk about Andriy.

how the hell can you be impressed by that performance? She was a fucking punching bag for two rounds then had 3 good exchanges and couldnt finish off Nunes who had absolute ZERO cardio left in the third. That was a garbage performance.

She's a good figher but that fight went almost exactly as I expected it to. Valentina had absolutely nothing off of her back and got beat up there. She showed good recovery and cardio but she's got things to work on for sure. Also, she didn't really press that much when Nunes was exhausted even though Nunes is known for wilting late in fights

Nunes looked like Nunes. A fucking wrecking ball but once she has her initial burst, she's done. Unfortunate, because she has the skills to beat anyone in the division but her cardio will always hold her back.

If it was a 5 round fight, I think Shevchenko would've won. She handled well the pressure in the first two rounds, imo. Nunes' ground and pound wasn't that much effective against her. It was a loss in which she looked good.

Lost $50 on this bum. She is too gun shy. Will never put money on her again

She showed good cardio, and heart to fight off that submission attempt.

A punching bag is ridiculous, a lot of it was inactivity but she still displayed dangerous skills.

It took her way to long to open up her strikes. Combine with the fact that she was unable to finish a gassed opponent in the third round, and it doesn't look good. Very disappointing performance from The Bullet. She did not live up to the hype.

wasn't impressed at all. She looked very meh in that fight.

Oh...the chick who was supposed to be the 2nd coming of Christ ?

Meh.

Great fighter. Terrible fight IQ.

She should have won that fight.

shevchenko needs to get the fuck out of Lima Peru and train with legit professional fighters somewhere in Brazil, America or Europe. Who the hell can she possibly be training with in Lima?

I sort of regret making this thread because most people aren't really watching her growth in mma and looking for the potential.

She's only 27 and might be great one day, but she still has a lot of work to do. I was expecting a lot from her after she beat Kaufman on eight days notice and was left disappointed.

I was not impressed. Amanda's terrible cardio gave Shevchenko the third round. It almost went as I predicted, but Nunes was unable to secure the choke, and she did much better on the feet in the first two rounds than I expected. Shevchenko may be undersized for the division. If Nunes want's to be a serious threat to the top three in the division, she has to improve her gas tank.

shevchenko fights like holm, wont step on the pedal unless opponent is running full-force into her punches. really frustrating to see two of the best strikers in the division basically move around like they are hitting pads and doing their kiai bullshit.
