Rick "The Gladiator" Glenn holds a 15-2 overall record including 8 TKOs and 5 Subs, is a long 145er standing at 6'0 feet tall, he has a very well rounded game including excellent use of range, a wide variety of strikes and a super active ground game that leaves little breathing room. The way he stole the title from Georgi K in WSOF was just amazing to watch. You could literally feel Georgi breaking in the cage. Glenn is only 25 years old and obviously has a lot of room for improvement. He trains in Milwaukee with a bunch of killers at Roufosport like the Pettis brothers, Ben Askren, Dustin Ortiz among others. I can't wait to see more of what this kid can do inside the cage.

In my opinion, he's one of the brightest prospects at 145 outside of the UFC.

Here's the full video HLs from his title win at WSOF 10.

Well, I disagree that he uses range well. That's probably the biggest thing he needs to work on. He's just tall, but in spite of training at Roufusport, his fighting style on the feet evokes more the Diaz brothers. He invites opponents in to hit him so he can methodically try to pick them apart with combos and elbows at closer range. That needs to improve a lot if he is to be UFC champ level in the future.

But his gnp is nasty. It's some of the best gnp in the sport. He keeps the right distance for his size, paces himself, and systematically picks guys apart on the ground.

His tdd and guard are decent, but he can get taken down and he's much better on the top.

Those things probably keep him more of a top 10, maybe top 5 in the future. Not that there's anything wrong with that, and he's not someone worth getting excited about, especially with the entertainment he brings.

I've had the privilege of seeing this guy fight live vs Lyndon Whitlock excellent kicks he worked the body all night to drop him with a head kick in third .. Like someone else said if he can get more of a punching arsenal to go with his kicks and use his height more effectively he could be a star no doubt .. Excited to see who he fights in his wsof title defence

In terms of his range usage I was speaking more with his kicking attack, his boxing does have a lot of room for improvement but he's proven to be effective being close inside and like I said in the OP, displays a very wide variety of strikes and angles. One thing you have to remember is he's only 25 and iirc, he hasn't been with Roufosport very long, he's going to improve leaps and bounds. Like you said, his GnP is probably his biggest strength but he can win the fight from anywhere and has proven so before.

Also, to say a guy with his record, his fighting style and overall upside isn't something worth getting excited about in such a young and fresh division than you must have incredibly high standards for MMA prospects.

To clarify, you know I said a fighter at that level and with that style, is someone to get excited about, right?
