How is whyte considered a threat to the current top HW champs?...is it his SD over chisora or his win over helenius? his ko loss to AJ? his KO win over lucas browne?...IMO whyte is a second tier guy....the equivalent of a calvin brock or phil jackson of days gone by.

yeah, i know browne was supposed to be some sort of titlleholder, but lets be serious for a minute...browne wouldn't have lasted the first round against wilder...

i wanna see whyte fight somebody with a pulse...a bryant jennings or a luis ortiz or big baby miller...i think they all could take him...i doubt he even beats gerald washington...at this point i'd be interested in seeing whyte-dawejko (which i feel would be pretty competitive).

IMO, whyte is still relatively unproven and unaccomplished. the idea he should even be considered a top 5 HW is a joke to me.

He is set to fight Ortiz as a mandatory eliminator. He has great pedigree and his only loss is to AJ. I don't think he's elite level but he is definitely one of those guys who could cause anyone problems.

I think he can win against Ortiz. I think people maybe in the states don't rate him. I've been following him since his ammy days. Id like to see him vs big baby aswell.

I think a lot of people will be surprised.

Im not a big fan of his.

There have been a lot of guys very similair to him in the HW division in the UK and he doesnt really do anything special.

I kind of see him as a worse boxer than Danny Williams, but he has a lot more dedication.....a bit of a better Chisora i guess

If Chisora's in the mood, he can give anyone a rough night. I don't hold that awesome scrap against Dillion, quite the contrary.
Browne was limited but knocking him cold was quite a feat.
Personally I think he's the most improved of all the heavies and am very much looking fwd to his clash wirh Kong.

He has great pedigree

What pedigree does he have? Only seen him fight AJ and Browne... he has an unorthodox style, that leaves him very much exposed.

He has mediocre technique, but is big and athletic.

He came out of one of brixtons best boxing gyms. Brixton is notoriously known for being a rough area with criminal and gang activity and known for hard men. He beat Joshua by unanimous decision as an ammy and put a guy in a coma. Thankfully he recovered. He's had shit with the aba becasue of him also kickboxing. Guy has also won his only professional mma bout. This doesn't say much for his boxing prowess but he is known for being game.

Say It was him vs wilder, wilder should be very aware of his lack of control when coming in to put away the opposition. Whyte is very much still dangerous.

I don't think the guy is hyped up to much either. I think here people know what he is. No one's saying he's a brilliant technical boxer. But he is decent and can bang. And is always dangerous.

I think he's as raw as Deontay but doesn't have the same qualities if that makes any sense.

I think ortiz stops whyte with relative ease....i can't get over how inept and ineffective whyte looked against AJ, but we'll see.

dillan whyte is mid tier but he is still dangerous cos when hes down on points, he doesnt accept a loss and goes out swinging...
he had AJ in all sorts of problems and damn near killed Browne.
hes the kind of guy top fighters would wanna stay away from cos beating him isnt much of a scalp and losing him is a huge dent to your career despite it having a fairly big posibility considering the risk.

I think Whyte is a clear step below the top guys, but he still adds nice depth and excitement to the division.

Im really looking forward to seeing him and Ortiz fight. Considerable step up in competition for Whyte.

Is it a step up since he's already faced AJ?

To my Brit ppl a quick question: How popular is Del Boy over there and is he universally liked by fans or do a lot of ppl hate him. He seems to have been disliked by fans b/c of his antics by I always liked him. I rooted for him against Haye and in most of his fights in general.

People think he's a disrespectful bell end and he has become a jobber. But we have sometimes a mentality of liking some of the shitty guys. Hes more nororiois for his behaviour at press conferences than anything.

Thanks. Also jobber is another good one I'm not too familiar with. Gotta add that to the inventory.

In that KO loss to Joshua he nearly took his damn head off.

He can sleep anyone.

Its not difficult to root against Haye.

None of my casual friends know of his existence.

I see him getting a serious amount of shit on social media any time I see his name mentioned

I don't dislike Haye anymore, but I used to. Are you from the UK? B/c that would surprise me if casuals didn't know him over there. Always thought he was a huge name in Britain. If you're not a Brit then I can see that. I know a lot of ppl still don't like him but my dislike of him has mellowed a lot over the past few years. Paying for Blackwell's medical bills or whatever he did for him, and showing the heart he did against Bellew were two of the big things that started to change my mind towards him.

I gotta start adding some more American venacular to my vocabulary.

I don't get the modern lingo though, I think I'm probably stuck in 80s/90s when it comes to American insults and slang.

You should see him in the build up to the rematch with haye. He's o humble comparably. It's glorious to see him with nothing to say. Haha.

The green version of AJ that he fought and his opponents since fighting AJ? Yes I would say so.

AJ has come a ways since then.

Sorry I meant nobody knows of Del Boy's existence.

Everyone knows Haye. Unfortunately.
