Let's talk about 80's cartoons.

If you grew up watching the Muppets, you probably said, "nah" to this.

The Chimpmunks have become my boys’ favorite cartoon. The new ones are actually really good. I bought them some DVDs of some classics I used to watch, a Halloween version and of course the Christmas one. I wasn’t sure they’d like them because they look so different. They’ve almost worn them out. When their cousin comes over they put in the Christmas CD and sing all the songs. You know something’s a classic when kids still love it 40 years later.

Can't believe no one's mentioned the Smurfs yet.

I had the toy sword back in the day.

This and He-Man were great, I think He-Man was better though.
I recently saw someone 3D printed a Sword of Omens. I would have loved to be able to do that as a kid.

The 80's by far had the best shit out there in terms of animation. Some of the all time greats came out in the 80's. At the top of the list had to be "G.I. Joe" and "Transformers."

The stuff out today is garbage.

Came in here to post these.

I was just thinking about digging out my old GI Joe Movie DVD. The one with Serpentor. Cobra-lalalalalala.

I have a tattoo of the power swords from Masters of the Universe.

You know, I’m something of an 80s cartoons fan myself.

I think the early 90's were best. Loved Rescue Rangers and the one where Baloo was a pilot (Talespin. Had great villains and flying mechas) Though Duck Tales (1987-1990) was great too. And Gummi Bears was the shizzle.

The early mid 90s had the last good cartoons. Exo squad, Peter Pan and Disney afternoon had some good stuff. But besides batman the mod to late 90s had nothing

I don’t know I mean I grew up in the 80’s and the cartoons were hit or miss mostly.

Transformers was good but then you had Go Bots, Thunder Cats was good but Inspector Gadget was goofy. I even liked Bravestar, but Mr T had a cartoon as well, and Gi Joe was always trying to teach you something at the end of every episode. I remember liking He Man but upon revisiting it as an adult it is rather stupid. Honestly I felt the 90’s was far superior in Animated shows. Tiny Toons, Darkwing Duck, Animaniacs, Batman the animated series, the Tick, Spider-Man, X-men. Just ignore Captain Planet...that never happened..

90s were better imo

I use to love watching

swat cats
cat-dog
Dexter's laboratory
power puff girls
Captain planet
