He was too cocky. Haircut wasnt aerodynamic. Came out to a crappy song that wasnt Biggie. Started the fight throwing bombs, swinging punches, everything with full power, spamming heel kicks. Conor thought he could finish Nate off in the first and dumped everything he had in that round. He gassed himself out.

EcoGregor would have picked him apart like he always does. Had he took the fight seriously, he could have easily won.
 
Taking fights seriously is part of fighting. Failing to take opponents seriously is a major flaw in a fighter's preparation.
 
I agree with the core principle to this but I can't say anything because I thought it'd be a quick and vicious tko myself.

He was beaten everywhere. After he got hit with the 1-2 in the second round, he mentally folded.
What the fuck was that takedown attempt? Lol.
 
Lets be real, McGregor is a fighter with very limited skill set and massive flaws.

and this is why I hate this sport. Any fighter with a little win streak and a good personality gets crowned 'goat' and is the greatest ever, EVER - E V E R -- .... yup, this is why I hate this sport. Love it, but hate it.

Like rats jumping off a sinking ship the Conor fanbois reality is shattered. Fringe top 10 lightweight and wouldn't win a single fight at welterweight.
 
Conor did underestimate Nate going into the fight, but Conor has always said he has great fight IQ.

A fighter with a great fight IQ would quickly adapt to the fight, not just throw bombs when its clear a different approach was needed.

That is what I love about MMA.
There is never any middle ground. Everything is the best or worst. It is unrealistic and funny.

imo everyone else overestimated conor
 
Lets be real Connor is not that good.

Whiel Nate and any given night can beat any one. And lose to guys he really should beat.
