I ignored you saying reading comp fail the first time but because you repeated it twice and since you seem to be serious about that general comp fail on your part I dismiss you.

First fight was close but clear in favor of Volk. I thought Max won the second fight but Volk got the official decision and that's all that matters. I think by the third fight Volk had Max figured out and had improved more where Max had stagnated. I ride for Max over Volk any day of the week. I think with the exception of maybe Yiar, Max has beaten the guys Volk has but better. I also think that a fourth fight with Volk would probably go similar to the third one. Volk just seemed to be operating at a level above Max when they last fought. He was faster, more ferocious and more aggressive. I'm not the biggest Volk fan, I like him and all but I don't think he's top p4p but I do think he's better than Max at this point.

The 0-3 on paper really makes people's brains short circuit. So much speculation about Max's chin while Volk is easily the chinniest and most easily hurt great we've seen in ages.

Volk is just a better fighter than Max. Nothing against Max, he’s clearly #2 in the division and an all time great but Volk is a stylistic nightmare and just better fighter than Max is. Zero shame in that fact.

Well he won the second and was competitive throughout the entire fight in the first so clearly he has something...

Volk figured out Max apparently but somehow Volk cannot be figured despite having more or less the same game and physical attributes with minor tweaks just like Max.

All it takes is one blow on the point of the chin or on the temple and totally different story just like Alex and Izzy. Also an empty 0-3

Max is a king without a crown. A championship level fighter who sits just a small step below another champion who had his number.

At 0-3 the only plausible way Max gets a 4th fight are as follows:

Volk loses the belt and Max beats Volks successor.

Volk is injured or fighting at 155 and out long enough for an interim belt, which Max wins.

Max goes on a RIDÌCULOUS win streak.
We are talking 8-10, ideally with stoppages, and proves that he is so far above any possible contenders that 1 more time is worthwhile.

In the meantime, I will enjoy Max's performances, and Volks as well.

First of all, this is the UFC we are talking about. Max is a HOFer, top 3 FW all-time already and still arguably in his prime.

Second, the idea that Max has to go on a 10 fight win streak - not against scrubs but top guys because that's all he'd fight - to get a fight against Volk is completely irrational because who would Volk be fighting in the meantime while Max is clearing out the division for him.

Third, this is all because they arguably went 1-1 and then Volk won a clear decision with no threat of a finish in the trilogy. 50-45.

All Max has to do is come up with an excuse like taking melatonin and beat up 1 or 2 more top guys.
