My thoughts are- get rid of the Men's 125 pound division

Propaganda by the MM haters. Nothing to see here.

That's true, it could turn WBW in a div even more shallow than now
UFC will need to pick up a lot of Invicta fighters if that happened

At least, they are adding SWs (from TUF) which is great.

This is going to make the women's 135 division even shallower than it already is.

At strawweight I favor JoJo because of the effects of the cut on Val..

At Flyweight Vals gonna be a monster, im scared for JoJo...

That said, no idea what Flyweight JoJo's gonna look like. (Shoujld be noted, pretty much all of Joannes MT titles came at FW)

125LBS, Valérie can be champ there. But if she keeps it standing, Jojo has a chance...we know her weakness. Still, I'm siding with Valérie as she will be bigger and fighting at her optimal weight. According to what has been posted, it is more of a ''catchweight bout'' than a FLW bout since the div doesnt actually exist. But it is safe to assume that the winner of this fight WILL fight for the inaugural FLW title when the div will launch officially.

I'm ok with it.

Letourneau beats up Jo.
Calderwood has nothing for her.

that said...

One of JoJo' biggest problems is mental, being back at Flyweight, the division at which she won all her MT titles might give her some confidence, we could see a completely different JoJo.

As long as she isn't dating her coach, Jojo will be fine I think. I didn't think of her as a big cutter to SW but I don't see moving up 10 pounds doing an harm. Her issues are mental. Hopefully she's filled the holes in her ground game too since being at Tristar.

Most FLW fighters will come down from BW, trust me. Especially if Rousey gets back at the top.
bollocks...
if they find it hard to make 135, how is cutting another 10lbs gonna help em?

WAR Jojo

thats a good fight, if Jojo wins that she could put herself in line for a shot at the belt

edit: just noticed its at flyweight..... wtf?

I'm trippin ... Umm, well .. here comes flyweight o_O

I
Big news, at 125 Letourneau should take this
I think Val would take it at either weight class, but I am not going to count JoJo out though ... we haven't seen Tristar JoJo yet, although Tristar Randa was not very inspiring.

The bout marks the UFC’s first ever women’s 125-pound fight, but is not the launch of a new division. UFC officials are looking into possibly opening a women’s flyweight division in the future, but until the time when or if such a division is permanently announced, there remain two women’s divisions (bantamweight and strawweight) and there will be no rankings set up for a 125-pound women’s class.

Not yet.

Hmm .. but then why make this fight at FLW? Whoever wins, it will not advance them at all in rankings at SW. This doesn't make sense to me .. Sean Shelby o_O

Her recent instagram posts over the last couple of months, she seems a lot happier and far more positive. Just hope it doesnt all go to hit when shes back in Scotland.

Now we know why TUF23 was originally both 135 and 115 females. I think the UFC was going to use those girls to fill the places of those who would eventually drop to 125. The lack of 135 talent that showed up for TUF23 tryouts probably delayed the full 125 division. Since not much 135 talent showed up they dropped the 135ers from the show and delayed the formation of the 125 division.

Best part, whether its an awesome fight or not, I'll be there live to witness it
