Let’s predict who is gonna get cut

Uhh... if JDS gets finished it will be his 4th straight KO loss. Don't you think the UFC should be telling someone like that to retire?
yes but if he wins alot of people will say its bad look.. i rather him go out on win.. his been in some wars

Du Bronx has only 2 fights left on his contract and is asking for more money. If Tony beats him badly then expect him to be cut.

I hope not, he always puts on a show and is on a 7 fight win streak. I see him beating Tony though.

Diego, Lawler, Shogun, Michael Johnson, Lauzon, Wiman
Almeida, Cutelaba, Ayari
Vilante, the fat dude who lost to Hardy, Sam Alvey, the guy who lost to Khamzat in 5 secs
Lots of inactive fighters, especially those on losing streaks

I bet a lot of jabrones will get cut. which we're cool with. as far as "names"? OSP should get cut. coming off a loss. had his chance and fell short. been floating between 15-20 for a while now. getting older.... benavidez. had a few title shots. came short. getting old. although he's still a perennial threat, I think they'll let him go.... Raphael assuncao is a similar story. always been a threat to anyone in his weight class, but his ship has sailed. plus dana has never liked him.... yair? I know dana hates him. not a "company man". he could be gone even though he's still exciting and a contender.... Jeremy Stephens. it's time to say goodbye.... Anthony pettis and Robbie lawless? maybe. fading stars. I could see either of them getting cut. although I disagree... weidman. maybe. he's turned into a punching bag and that's no fun... Curtis blaydes. he shouldn't get cut, but I think it's possible as dana hates his style.

How would those be bad cuts? None of those guys are contenders anymore.
You prefer to watch Oblikeov vs Ramirez instead of a Romero fight? Thats fine off course, but i really like to watch the guys grew up with. In a while, these guys will retire, but the reason of the UFC isn't one of opulance.

I posted this in another thread but i'll copy it here : this is my shortlist (well quite a long list) of *potential* cuts, for various reasons ('expensive' / underperforming / old-and-not-going-anywhere etc etc)

There's 35 names here, and I'd say quite a few of these *might* get chopped shortly (as per Dana's 'maybe 60 to go' statement yesterday).

- Chris Weidman
- Gian Villante
- Tyron Woodley
- Shogun Rua
- Yair Rodriguez
- Tim Elliott
- Kevin Lee
- Demian Maia
- Arlovski
- Junior Dos Santos
- Carla Esparza
- Jessica Eye
- Chase Sherman
- Todd Duffee
- Stefan Struve
- Ben Rothwell
- Tai Tuivasa
- Blagoy Ivanov
- Ed Herman
- Luke Rockhold
- Tim Boetsch
- Zak Cummings
- Eryk Anders
- Deron Winn
- Diego Sanchez
- Court McGee
- Danny Roberts
- Mickey Gall
- Emil Meek
- Trinaldo
- Yancy Medeiros
- Greutzemacher
- David Temur
- Lando Vannata
- Brok Weaver

Way too many big/medium size names there

The entire 125 and 135 divisions.

Anyone that's decent will move to 145

If a big name like Yoel hadn't been cut I wouldn't have dared to guess any big names but

* Gus - losing streak, doesn't seem motivated enough
* Overeem - might be a legend who still headlines cards but my god, his show-money is huge. Of everyone who fought in 2019 he had the second highest show money in the entire UFC second only to Khabib that year https://forums.sherdog.com/threads/highest-fighter-salaries-of-2019-show-money.4048949/
* Arlovski - legend but he's outside the top10 and gets paid 300K show-money last I checked in 2019 was more than double what Romero, Wonderboy, Garbrandt, Ngannou or Till made

Shogan
Jds
Reem
Texiera
Gastelum

Pettis

Bw and flw are too shallow to be cutting alot of fighters imo. My guess is that this purge will center around the lw and ww division, with some older jeavyweights and lightheavies thriwn in the mix.

Dude what? Cowboy and Woodley are very useful for putting younger guys over

I think Cowboy would stick around but I could see Tyron getting cut.

He's lost 3 in a row, yes they were to the best WW but still on a losing streak. He makes good money and he's never gotten along with UFC/Dana.

WOuldnt be surprised at all if he gets cut.
