Odd booking because the only outcome the UFC actually want is a Lerone Murphy TKO.

But it's got like a 20 % chance of happening at best, I'd say.

They obviously aren't too keen on Lerone either due to all the decisions he's had, so I guess they largely don't care about this one.

It was WWE bullshit by the UFC to force these guys into this position in the first place. But now it makes sense to do this fight rather than have one fight Volk and the other someone else.

Movsar didn't fight in 2025, having been on average an annual fighter since 2022. He has been too inactive to warrant a title shot in mid-2026.

Murphy has been more active but hasn't beaten any top 5 guys. You don't earn a title shot by beating an unranked Aaron Pico.

For all the shit Evloev gets, he is so much more exciting than Murphy to me, and would be cool to see him win, as him v Volk would be a lot more exciting than Murphy. Btw, this should actually be a pretty funny fight based on their fighting styles against each other.

Based on his fights, I can't see Murphy doing well in defending the TDs. And he's not some KO threat, so I think Eveloev will be able to secure TDs and top control without much risk of getting KO'd
