You know the opposite of that? Having three major hospitals in a metropolitan area and hardly any in rural areas. Cause, you know, ‘non-profit’ hospitals aren’t making the money they need to. Meanwhile, people who are only guilty of being born in rural areas get their healthcare fucked over. They typically don’t have as wide variety of healthy options in food. We historically dumped and polluted their watersheds (the Ohio River valley especially) but Flint, MI water is the one Obama drinks.

It funny to me that some farmers haven't discovered this one neat trick which is not just growing things that are subsidized. Growing things that are in demand, doing your own marketing, packaging, and selling direct to consumer are all better ways for small farms to operate. These guys could learn a thing or two from Joel Salatin.
