Front runner for KO of the year
So technically perfect yet so many butthurt people calling it lucky <45>
I’m a huge Usman fan. Thought he had the makings of being an all time great. And epic. But also like rocky. I’m not sure Usman did anything wrong. He kept coming in the 5th. That kick was just beautiful. I actually don’t even know how to feel. How did that even happen? It wasn’t sloppiness but Usman I don’t think? But maybe someone more versed in striking could tell me otherwise? (I was a college wrestler so that’s where I come from). Leon is such a good dude. Really happy for him. Also I’m glad this wards off Usman BS about fighting all these non ufc guys in boxing or whatever
I closed the fight with 1:30 left in the third and now I'm as pissed as I'm elated to see Usman get fucked.
Yes. Great analysis. Kickboxers are always static and I guess it’s for this reason. So is this similar to Dom’s recent KO? Because he has ridiculous unorthodox head movement, and chito timed it perfectly and landed his kick right into doms slipping head movementso Usman uses excessive head movement and bobbing and weaving to slip punches. This is great in boxing where there are no headkicks.
But in kickboxing or K-1 you don’t see this from kickboxers because a a punch high kick combo will get you killed.
Essentially Edwards through a cross and Usman bobbed his head right (to avoid the cross) into the incoming high kick which doubles the force of the collision.
at least I was just looking at my phone when it happened hahahahahaI closed the fight with 1:30 left in the third and now I'm as pissed as I'm elated to see Usman get fucked.
straight left, not a jab, the jab is the lead hand's straight punch
I actually despise Usman as a mma fan, he’s boring as duck and he’s completely disrespectful. Taunting and following edwards kn between rounds. It couldn’t have happened to a nicer fellow
