Leon Edwards is top 5 greatest striker in UFC history

Don't give your own interpretation of what makes a good striker and then say that's the only way to look at it 'PERIOD', no that's just your own interpretation.

I think I definitely got someone like O'Malley, who actually drops and KOs people, deals damage, looks good doing it, and is actually fun to watch, over Leon as a striker, but I'm not gonna pretend like it's the only valid way to judge how good someone is.

Way I see it the point of a fight is to ultimately make it so the other person is at your mercy, playing pitter patter touchbutt until the timer runs out and getting a nice scorecard is not my idea of 'pinnacle of fighting' lol

Ah yes, getting caught twice and not even losing those fight is so much worse than getting tagged a million times throughout your career. Keep reaching

Btw Gaethje was 30 years old and was already fought the best of the best outside of UFC at that point when he got finished by Eddie lol. He went in a slugfest with Palomino ffs where he got hurt many times

Gane is the best striker in the UFC until proven otherwise even once in a fight. He outstruct every single fighter he has ever fought including Ngannou (people said Ngannou was the best striker until that fight)
Got oustruck by Jon lmao not even close not even in top 15 strikers In the UFC imagine getting dropped by bum like Tai

leon is discount Izzy, and izzy already is overrated

sherdog has a fetish for skinny black guys who Win fights by leg kicking to a boring decision, i'm surprised nobody calls jones a top5 striker ever

Obviously been at the Xmas sherry ... Cmon bro. Edwards is a class act but top 5 strikers...

Regardless of what you think about his effectiveness he has outstruck every opponent he faced with a 99% striking offense while taking 0 significant damage. That’s not opinion it’s fact. No other multiple defending champ can boast that to my memory

0 damage? Exaggerate more Diaz almost put his lights out, he was doing the chicken dance.

Lmao most overrated champ in WW history in a universe where Matt Serra was a WW champ

Defensively maybe but total package? NO

Better overall strikers

A. Silva
Machida
Thompson
Aldo
Holloway
Izzy
Barbosa
Pettis
Condit
Whitaker
Volk
Kampman
Vitor

If you start your own thread with basicly "everyone who disagree with me is wrong" then you dont deserve good discussion. Fuck this thread.

- average power in his hands
- No real combinations
- Gun shy
- gets clipped and battered by past prime lightweight 1:3 Diaz for a whole minute (bad recovery, bad cardio)
- Can't even throw 200 punches in a fight
- Tumenov outstruck him 2:1
- Barbarena nearly finished him

Circle to his right, eliminating the good left hand. Check for right hook counters only then and attack when he stance switches.
Edwards knows he doesn't have the strongest chin nor recovery, that's why he is trying to have the output as low as possible.

Great fighter though and rightfully the champ.

Leon is a sniper. He’s as good as there is currently I’ll say that much. Top, top level. It’s pretty much a consensus opinion amongst strikers but yeah let’s argue because it’s fun lol

GSP doesn't belong in that list. He's one of Top 5 GOAT, but not exceptionally well-known striking machine like the others.

Poatan ~ Overeem
Izzy ~ Silva
Jones

They both got long enough frame to be within 185-205. Wish all the talented strikers were in the same division Leon, Izzy, Silva, Jones, Gane, Poatan, Shara, Rakic, Jiri, Jan, Walker, Hill, Ulberg.
