Hes probably top 10 but has a long way to go to surpass Hughes. Alot of you kids who started watching MMA in the last few years or the Conor era dont understand how dominant and great Hughes is. It took GSP a while to surpass him and GSP had a 2-1 H2H and KOd and submitted Hughes too. Path to surpassing Kamaru is doable since Leon showed H2H superior over 3 fights and 1 hour of fighting.

Leons resume has alot of bloated LWs like Kamarus did. Nate (who almost KOd him in 5th), Cowboy (close 48-47), RDA. These LWs were all well past their prime too. Gunnar is even a fat LW.

Kamaru, Luque, Tumenov are his only wins over true tested top WWs. Then Barberena? Who gave him a 29-28 fight and almost had him KOd bad worse than Nate.

Leon has a loooooong way to go. He just entered the top 10 if that.

Too early to rank him for all time. Let's see if Marty is shot or not for his next fight. Leon might not even beat Colby for the next fight.

Love this thread and going down memory lane. I watched a few old fights after reading this too. If Leon has a decent run the next few fights his name is on this list. I'm not sure what goes into the points, but it's one consideration when comparing fighters from different eras.
