Listen man these guys are highly trained in respect to their physicality. They are flexible and practiced Qi Gong. If they have some understanding of basic mma they can do big damage. No joke!

Think about it, the culture of kung fu is very much based on physical culture and meditation. The movment and flexibility helps with injury Prevention. Also they have shaui jaiou and chin na which is their version of grappling.

Kung fu gets a bad rep. But it's the offspring of yoga and yoga is now very accepted in modern times. Who knows maybe there is some mercenary Tao level kung fu guy out there but not fighting mma. It's no joke. It's very good way to develop a healthy strong body. It got banned in China because it was liberating people and techniques got lost or diluted or turned in to silly demo dance.

Can you cite as an example a single pure Kung-Fu practitioner who has done well in modern MMA?

sometimes i don't have any ripe bananas so i just eat the unripe ones :(

Someone just posted a thread a couple days ago about how long fu is dieing. The dojos are empty and basically it's becoming a lost art to mma.

If they want to save it they need to send a king fu specialist to mma and show it's superior. Which it wont be so back to the original point.

Mma> kung fu.

Sanshou is an offshoot of Kung Fu.
Cung Le did well with that style. Zabit is a current example

Yi Long is A wushu fighter trained in shaolin kung fu. He gets KTFOD by good fighters. So yeah

I'll give you Cung Le I guess, but not Zabit. No way is he a 'pure' kung-fu practitioner which is what I was specifically asking for

Of course he isn't. Can you give me one example of a pure specialist for any martial art in 2020 MMA though?
Zabit's striking is without a doubt Sanshou

But isn't the point TS is trying to make? That true KF specialists would beat any other style? I wouldn't count Zabit for the reasons you just stated.

That is a real car door he was smashed into.
You used to really be allowed to cripple a stunt man who is a minority.

So how would one really define a KF fighter if by now it's very diluted by other styles? Or am I not understanding the passage you posted?

A person who has flexibility as well as their physical prowess of having an incredible mobility, grip strength and balance.

Kung fu develops incredible movements and prevents injuries. They lack puglistic skills because the essence of kung fu is based on a physical body that can make the turns and twist that life throws at them.

To this day, MMA and combat sports fighters are explosive but not graceful. Naseem Hamed and Emmanuel Augustus are good examples of boxers that have kung fu characteristics.

Tony Ferguson is the best example. Actually trains wingchun. in grappling scenarios I can see some of it working.

Kung Fu movies are not real but there are some practical applications
