A trick they love to do is you vape cook the weed capture the thc without burning bud then put some coating on the outside. You claim it's 20-30% and it looks good but it's 10-15.
Diamonds thc/thcaa run around 99.9% pure
Waxes it's a mix same with vapes

But just green bud/grass no absolutely don't do that crap unless you have to. You might have sulfur/bacteria/fungus, pesticides etc in them. I've had people get bud that had been purged in a bho butane propane push and try to sell it too much.

I live in Illinois and recreational marijuana is supposedly about to become legal on January 1st 2020.

I am completely clueless as to how this system works. I'm looking for some insight from Sherdoggers who live in states that have already legalized.

How is the potency and price compared to what you used to buy illegally? Any other pertinent info that you want to throw at me is welcome. Thanks in advance.

I will get my weed card, next decade when I'm allowed. It's kinda agonizing being a block away from a weed store, and not being allowed to get a card. I may as well be a million blocks from one

Yea this is what I got. It looks just like weed. I thought it was that synthetic stuff they tried years ago but it’s not.

I went to Italy and I’m pretty sure I got sold the same thing. She wouldn’t call it weed just kept saying this is our best stuff and it looked just like weed.

I hear the opposite, at least down in Houston. with the quality and types being so much better compared to the 90s and 00s skrag you could apparently buy. I tried buying two ounces 20 years ago here and after rolling 4 or 5 joints, I gave the rest to my Brazilian friend. I didn't like it. Now I just take the delta 9 edibles and 10mg puts me in a great fucking mellow mood. Typically I work out around 5pm, take one immediately after, shower, get dinner finished and by the time its doggie walking time, I'm on cloud nine.

The problem with weed today is everything has been bred and hypridized to death, just chasing numbers and a narrow terpene profile. It's all narcotic weed.

There is nothing like smoking full spectrum old school flower. I got sent to another realm by some Lambs Bread the other night and that is an old Jamaican landrace.

I have some Blue Dream curing right now with some Sour Diesel nearing time for chop.

Next year I'm going to grow Cheese and some exotic landrace strains I got seed for (Kalamata, Lebanese, Nepalese)...

Club weed is mostly garbage IMO.

I could get a medical card if I wanted. You don't even have to have a serious condition they'll give you one if you just say you have anxiety. Just have to pay $150ish for the Dr appt and it lasts a year. Then at the dispensary an oz will run you around $400.

It's good weed but I can get an oz of slightly less quality for $120 off the street.

I posted this in the "recommend me a strain" thread but that thread seems dead, so I'll ask here...

I'm big into RSO, take a gram of it made from various Indica strains a week; 100mg or so before bed to help me sleep.

However, the stuff I've been buying lately doesn't look like RSO at all. Looks to me like they are passing off distillate for RSO.

Grassroots especially. Avexia and Drool still seem to be actual RSO, but Avexia uses those piece-of-shit "klik" and "dablicator" delivery systems.

Is anyone else taking RSO, and if so has anyone else experienced this?

The delta 9 avaialable in Texas is weed in every sense of the word. I was warned in Vanvouver BC that their 'real' weed was so much stronger (edibles) that I should start with 2.5mg as it would be too strong for me. Its not. I've bought from reputable places here and there thc9 is so much more potent.

I used to be joints and bongs only for 25 or 26 years but since I got off black market stuff, I've been using dry herb vapes exclusively. I couldn't go back at this point. For home I use a ruby twist and for quick blasts or travelling, I have a tinymight 2 purple heart. I occasionally dabble in edibles too but I find they leave me groggy as fuck the morning after.

If you are allowed to grow it, consider growing some, it'll be the best thing you'll ever do. Lots of cool weed products to buy as well, but growing some makes sure you know your source.

I recently tried a rosin pen (mango dream) which I really enjoyed and it didn't give me that groggy stoneover feeling. Distillate pens can be hit or miss for that with me.

Only tried the pens. Disposable and the ones that fit a 510 battery. I go for things on sale. Don’t really use the same amount that others do, so tend to be less picky. Currently have a lemon sunset disposable and blackberry kush on the battery. Both get me where I want to be.

In Chicago now and there is a lot of people just smoking in the city. It’s unsavory.

I've noticed that as well now that weed has been legal long enough up here for me to get a good sampling of what's on the market. The stuff that's hit me the hardest with the best highs have been the old school strains like Purple Haze and Northern Lights which are much closer to the landrace varieties than the designer hybrids which make up 99% of the market these days. I find the hybrids have a nicer smell and smoke smoother but the highs don't last as long and I rarely reach the full zonked out state where time disappears and I'm fully in the flow with my music & movies.
