Is there a supplement that can reduce or prevent leg cramps or charlie horses? My calves tend to cramp after long workouts or on long runs.

Potassium helps. Bannas have it. Stretching may be beneficial.

zma as well may help. and an alkaline enhancer.

I currently take potassium, I've never heard of ZMA can some one fill me in as to what it is?

Nobody knows what causes leg cramps, but it is known that leg cramps are not caused by an electrolye imbalance.

Muscle fatigue seems to be the main cause. When fatigued The GTO discharge, which reduces motorneuron activity, is overwhelmed with muscle activity and fatigue. The GTO

Talked to a guy who ran marathons for years, one thing that seemed to help him was potassium pills that are timed released, you can buy them from GNC for like 1.99 for a month supply or so, it's GNC brand and its a small green bottle called "Potassium Plus 99", got a few other things in it.

I've read that potassium pills can be dangerous, I think it was from an article linked on this site.
