Lebron better than Bird? (i.e. rate Lebron's current legacy, v4)

If lebron isn't in the same stratosphere as bird why do we only have to wait 2-3 years to see if he comes close? Such a short time says he's already at his doorstep.

2-3 more years for him to come close...

come close

come

close

TS are you mad these threads are going to rustle some jimmies

Translation : " I have no counter argument".

Which one of my points are opinion based? Everything I say is backed up with hard evidence. I'm not making up how many championships LeRoids has won, LMAO!

Your level of bball knowledge is pedestrian at best. You are a fan of the game, which is great, but it's obvious you've never played the game at any level before. Not only am I a high level player (played @ the college level) I am also an aficionado/historian of the game, so we aren't really on the same level of bball acumen here. Keep watching though, you will pick up knowledge bit by bit as you go.

hahahahaha. once again, i LOL at someone who tries to sound like a badass basketball player over the internet. you're making up how many "championships bird has led his team too" and the old PED opinion, neither of which are "facts".

and i LOL at you feeling so insecure that you have to trash my bball skills and knowledge while at the same time making up some bullshit about your life. but I guess that's just the internet for ya.

p.s. i bet you're that typical 5'9" asian kid at the pick up game who shoots too much and complains about foul calls every play

I guess lebron should have stuck around to play with Larry Hughes, Daniel Gibson and Drew Goode.

Which LeBron took to the finals btw. Lol at people saying Bird was better at making his teammates better, than Lebron. Lebron took the worst NBA team in NBA history to the Finals. Not to mention obtaining a 2009 season record of 66-16 and 39-2home record.

So you guys actually think Bird, Magic, Jordan would've shat all over the cities that were bending over backwards for them, tuck-tail and run to an already loaded team? Clearly the mark of a great leader.

So how many teams did Lar lead his team to in your (uninformed/low-level) opinion? Also, I have links available about the "old PED opinion" (LMAO keep trying to sweep this under the rug, you Stern acolyte) that I can produce upon request. It's not even debated by experts anymore, he was caught red handed using PEDs.

Your basketball skills are low level. It is evident from your posting / analytical skills. The fact that you think Juice (not even a top 20 SF all time, nor the best SF in the league right now) is on the same level as Bird (consensus #1 SF/top 5 player all time) EXPOSES you brutally.

I doubt that Canitdown could even name 20 SF's without looking it up online.

Their passing game hasn't really been compared yet, so check out these two vids. They're highlight reels, so obviously all the bad passes aren't going to show up here, but IMO Bird's passing game looks better to me.

Bern's got some great passes in here, but I can understand how he got them. I can follow his thought process. But many of Bird's passes defy logic. They're truly miraculous. He was a master of the touch pass and even the punch pass LOL.

Bern will look at a guy, then look away and pass it to him. Bird can pass it to a guy that he hasn't seen in 10 seconds. Somehow he just knows where everyone is. It's awesome.

Yup. LolBron is a very good passer. Oh man, if he didn't have his passing abilities, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. Without LolBron's passing he would be rated in the high 80's in NBA2k14, instead of 98-99 now, it's that important and translates to IQ as well.

Larry Bird... truly amazing passer and player. Bball IQ is one of the highest all time. I still got Magic over Larry though in the passing skillset, but damn, it's amazing how close it is considering.

Larry Bird's mental prowess, mental agility, mental extraction and translation into the game of basketball is so unearthly in regards to LolBron that it is just not a fair comparison.

LolBron would keep up in some aspects of the game due to physical domination, but overall, the sheer mental gigantism Larry Legend has vs the mental mediocrity, non-alpha, "The Chosen One" is so great, that, for example, it would be like if LolBron was a ant and he was looking up at the Empire State bldg, where as Larry Bird is a mental Godzilla, looking down at the Empire State bldg.

I couldn't even imagine if Larry came into the league, today, with the "medical advancements", nutrition advancements, training advancements vs this soft league in comparison to the 80's/90's. LolBron would be begging to go to Boston to win some championships, that is for sure, 1000% for sure. Can't debate this, sorry, threads closed.

you've got to be trolling, right? based on your bio and signature

Lol LeBron might be better than MJ when it is all said and done

As of right now I will say Larry Bird, when it's all said and done I will say Lebron.

This podcast talks a little about that at the 57:00 minute mark.

Should have taken your own advice...

If you were to start a podcast what would it be on?

We all have different interests but for me I would talk weight lifting and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

What would you talk about?

...Cause you're plugging an F Level product right now. You guys know about as much about basketball as UFC fans do about A Level athletes.

Re MJ vs. lebrick

How about this: one guy catapulted the league into unprecedented prosperity and world wide popularity while the other guy was at the head of the class during the most forgettable period of the NBA in the last 35 yrs.

LOL at Jordan being 1-0 with Tune Squad

Mj left to try his hand at baseball. Comparing their careers is weird. Could lebron have a better career? Sure. That's possible. Is he a better player? Fuck no. Bron is not on the list of people I'd pick for an all time team, not even on the bench. He's not the best at his position now. Love has twice as many rebounds per game and that's what I expect from that position. Durant is better. Melo could be better on the right team. Bron is good and he's fun to watch. If you are putting him anywhere on an all time list you're too young to have seen the greats play outside of youtube.

Than you must be fucking retarded

Kevin Love does not play small forward and Melo and Durant can't compare defensively and in terms of bringing their offense together
