hi i just have a few questions about the le roy mexican style hand wraps. i've looked around and it seems that they are re-usable but i was just wonder how long do they actually last? and also when you take the tape of does the material go all frizzy like? i currently use some cheap 180" hand wraps made by a company called Meister which i don't like at all so i wanted to upgrade to something more comfortable

they don't get frizzy. also, I have my le roys for around 6 months and they still performed like new

If I may ask...what is good about these wraps? N how long are they?

honestly. I loved the color. they looked like gauze which is badass. they also felt great on my hands, they don't get smelly, and they don't absorb sweat that much.

I believe it was 120 inches. I used 2 leroys per hand. so if I were you, I would buy 4 le roy handwraps. (2 per hand)

I played with them for six months and I feel that 210 inch handwraps are better. They are reusable as long as you do not use tape or have any Velcro on your gloves/head gear/shin guards/pads...Velcro will destroy them in weeks.

They also take a long time to wrap, in the way I felt to be the best.

time isn't much of a issue for me but i see the Velcro being a bit of a problem since i have a pair of hook and loop twins gloves but why do you prefer the 210 inch hand wraps over the Leroy? also what brand 210" hand wraps are you using?

Ringside, however, i would not buy them until they release the "generation 2". Right now, they are only meant for those people with very large wrists, I had to sew on extra velcro.

If you want, I can touch a LeRoy wrap to velcro to show you the damage it does.

I had velcro gloves, my wraps held up great. But it is true about it being time consuming.

I'd buy a couple of pairs if i were u. they are re usable but after a year of washing them they kinda wear out

the only problem with that is that i live in australia and pretty much every hand wrap that is good cost 20 dollars or more with shipping but i found a site where the wraps are only 13 dollars for 4 if i buy them in bulk with a few friends.

*Brand new pack.

*Brand new roll

*Le Roys affinity for velcro

*The Damage from a single touch.

With repeated touching, holes form, and they become very "furry".

Note: During private lessons they are amazing. If I can convince my GF to put on my shin-guards they are amazing for sparring. Once I have to use products containing velcro, they become a pain in the ass.

No problem, but I forgot to do a tape test! It is basically like the Velcro, but, not as severe. Lots of professionals use these wraps once and cut them off, because of the tape damage.

I owned a few pairs several years ago, and only used them for sparring sessions. To avoid their "velcro affinity" I always put on my shin guards and headgear before wrapping my hands. I never replaced them because they wore out very quickly and offended my "cheap bastard" sensibilities.

Title Boxing sells a similar product that's somewhat less elastic, a little bit thicker, and a lot more durable: http://store.titleboxing.com/rmh.html. I used those for a while -- maybe a year -- before they wore out.

I prefer either Title or Ringside 180" Mexican wraps. They do the job and last a very long time.

Titles version is of le roy wraps are a joke, they are basically handwraps with no thumb hook and Velcro.

My sparring days go: dynamic warm up, wrap hands, shadow box, thai pads/focus mitts, heavy bag, then sparring.

Do you spar before hitting pads?
