Also, you must be either completely ignorant to standard pride parades if you feel like there isn’t an expectation for lewd and indecent behavior.

Once again, I think what she did was inappropriate. I also think the sexually charge acts at pride parades and exposing kids to drag is also inappropriate.

Pride parades don't specifically promote public indecency, just like this musical didn't promote sexual grouping. We can agree all public acts of indecency is inappropriate. It’s an interesting take. I would say they don’t “promote indecency” technically, but you’d have to admit you would have a much higher chance of seeing dildos and assless chaps at a standard run of the mill pride parade than you would at a theatre act.

Drag is inherently sexual. You can’t separate the two. I don’t want to shut down drag in general, but I find it disgusting to have it be specifically targeted toward kids. I would have the same issue with bringing kids to burlesque shows or strip clubs.

I think you’d find more things that would qualify as public lewdness or indecent exposure at a standard pride parade than what they did in the dark.

Someone dressed in drag is no more overtly sexual than a hetro couple walking down the street holding hands. My limited knowledge of dressing in drag is a much a performance than anything else. You see it as sexual but that doesn’t make it so. Is Kabuki theatre overtly sexual to you?
