The former secretary of state visited the historically Mexican-American neighborhood of East LA last Thursday to host a Cinco de Mayo rally — and brought an eight-piece mariachi band with her. LOL

More than 1,000 protesters tensely eyed dozens of police in riot gear and on horses. "We only matter when it's Cinco de Mayo," one protester's sign read.

Herbert Siguenza said he was at the protest because he "couldn't believe Clinton was in East L.A. on Cinco de Mayo. The Hispanic pandering is obvious."

"I was nervous, but then I saw the mariachis and it made me angrier. She was pandering," one protester, Jasmin Pacheco, told Fusion.

To top the day off, Pacheco also started yelling during Clinton's speech while holding a sign with a 2014 quote from the candidate in which Clinton had stated that unaccompanied, migrant minors should not be allowed to stay in the States. This quote draws attention to the fact that, since that time, the People's Panderer has, predictably, reversed her position, claiming now that, with legal representation, illegal minors should not be deported.

You just can't make this stuff up. Hillary has never met a negative stereotype of her persona that she could not help continually reinforcing.

Hillary probably even spoke with a Hispanic accent.

She tries to be everything to everyone instead of just being herself.
She tries to be New Yorker, southern accent speakiing, black preacher, sombrero wearing, mariachi band playing politician all while carrying hot sauce in my bag.

Hillary views and actions (and votes/support) change depending merely on what she thinks will get her more votes that particular day

Who knows what she'll if actually president and no longer doing whatever she thinks will get her elected. We have no idea what this woman's values or beliefs are

Well, I think bringing the mariachi band was a bad idea.

However, in comparison to Trump going on and on about deportations and walls and making Mexico pay for it - then sitting down with an American-style taco bowl and declaring "I love Mexicans!" for Cinco, I think this is definitely the less phony of the two.

She values herself.

At least we know she loves the children.

I could never be a politician.

Thing is though that pandering works otherwise they wouldn't do it.

If you are doing Cinco de Mayo and have money, why not get a mariachi band? People should be more upset that she doesn't stand for or believe anything except that she deserves to be president. Wearing a sombrero and hiring some guys to play guitar is so minor to hate a candidate for.

Special interest group becomes offended when politician pays attention to their special interest

Not even newsworthy

Yeah... I guess you missed the part about the group being Latinos, Clinton deciding to descend on the neighborhood on Cinco de Mayo and her bringing a mariachi band.

Just those small, irrelevant extra details.

Why not just be real and say, "Yeah, she's a brazen, pandering whore who sometimes demeans cultures in her pursuit of elected office. But I'm a fan of her policies and I know she can get things done in Washington."

"I love Hispanics! Check out my fuckin' taco salad!"

-The other candidate

If she didn't pander then people would just criticize her for not caring. No-win with some people.

Funny enough, most Mexicans don't give a rats ass about Cinco de Mayo.

Because I didn't miss those details and thought they were insignificant?
I'm sure we'll see plenty of ridiculous special interest ass kissing from Trump as well, it's expected that candidates kiss babies and eat relevant food (like tweeting himself eating a taco bowl on Cinco de Mayo, maybe, who knows)

The mariachi band thing sounds like something a socially awkward dork would do. Not a presidential candidate. It's kinda weird.

i love this

Protester: "Nobody pays attention to the Latinos!!"

attention gets paid to the Latinos

Protester: "They are pandering to Latinos!!""

Pretty much.

The way I see it, the candidate that hires a band of good musicians to play traditional music is showing more respect for the culture being celebrated than the candidate who had a taco bowl made for him as he sat in his high rise.

Yeah she doesn't believe a fucking thing coming out of her own mouth "Hey maybe this shit will get me some votes, lets try it!" Don't believe me? Check out a body language expert speaking about it.
