In fairness he told them he was going to do that before those idiots voted.
I think they really thought they could assimilate or curry favor just by voting for him. Nah you're still not White on this side of the border & we need #s and statistics to inflate on our MAGA propaganda.
Im more shocked with how many are saying "this is not what we voted for."
Yes. Yes, it is exactly what you voted for. I get wanting to get rid of criminals. However, its very shortsighted to do that by turning the "land of freedom" into the authoritarian dystopia that you or your family fled from. I stand a fighting chance against a criminal. None of us do alone against militarized SS police, US troops, & corrupt lying administration backing them.
Sorry for a really long response, uti have a lot to say on this one.
I am actually seeing quite the opposite on social media-especially twitter and local news comments sections. These twatwaffles are saying “yes, this is what I voted for.” Whats ironic is that these dumb fucks are the ones most likely to claim to love the constitution which cuntrag trump is constantly violating of both citizens and non citizens. People that are on American soil have most of those rights for simply being here. I would argue that there are six amendments that cover these two rights-the second amendment and the 15/19/24/26. I don’t believe that illegal aliems that are not naturalized and made citizens of this country should be allowed to vote in any election-local or federal. And that also goes for the second and I do not believe that anyone here illegally should have second amendment rights to purchase, own, possess, or carry any type of firearm. These are rights of citizens only in my book, however, there’s a cuntbag judge that sees the second amendment differently.
Below is the judges ruling in a case in Chicago where the judge ruled that the illegal immigrant had the right to own a firearm. What’s funny is that I was certain that based upon the status of him being illegal, I knew two things right off the bat-first, I knew it would be a female judge, 2 I knew she was going to be a liberal (she was appointed by Obama). What’s hilarious to me as well as super upsetting is that he was arrested for abusing his daughter and when police arrested him, he had a handgun on him. The other fucking funny part is that it’s in Chicago-imo it is in the top three anti-gun cities and Illinois is in my top two anti-gun states.
The first anti gun law is no open carry anywhere in the state including long guns, which are impossible to conceal as the whole state is concealed carry. The only place you can open carry is in your own home or while at a range or while hunting. Most states are the opposite and open carry was the preferred manner and you had to jump through hoops in order to carry concealed. Chicago and Illinois’s being anti gun has created a culture where people simply don’t like guns or like to see them. For me, it depends on the situation if I were to carry. On one hand, as an officer, I liked to see people open carrying for a few reasons-it has been shown to lower the risks of certain crimes happening because people see the gun and think twice about attacking the person with the firearm or co
Hitting crime in its presence almost like it is a sentient being. However, should you get into an altercation-that gun is right there for the taking. The holsters police carry or at least since 2004 when we switched guns-our holsters have the latches that are very difficult to undo from most angles. Prior to the newer guns, we had the much less secure button holsters. Still, I always took precautions when in close contact with people or being in the 7-11 for example. I kept my asp baton on my gun side and directly behind the gun. The asp holster could rotate and I would always tilt it towards the handle of my firearm making it damn near impossible for someone to come up behind me and successfully get to it. I also always kept my elbow against the handle in a protective manner whenever I was in crowds or in a store-he’ll, when I poured my coffee I would turn my gun side against the counter. I have had people try to grab my gun on a few occasions. I was telling my student s on Wednesday about how police can(or at least I could due to going to seminars) spot someone with a firearm based upon body language. Just like I kept my elbow against my gun, people carrying it in their pants tend to be protective about it especially when in the presence of police-it’s a subconscious thing. Same with holding drugs in your pocket- people tend to attempt to conceal or protect whatever they have that they don’t want police to notice and that especially true when walking and double when it’s not in a holster and tucked into a hr waistline.. I saw a guy in a crowded gas station a few months ago. He was super fat and disgusting and wasn’t wearing a shirt-so much for “no shirt, no shoes, no service.” Of course he was buying a giant 24 case of disgusting cheap beer and two cartons of cigarettes. He so had on simple gym shorts and he had a handgun tucked into the back of them right at the asscrack. It would have been super fucking easy to simply reach over and grab it from the sweaty maw of his fat ass.
In order to even own a firearm, let alone carry one, requires obtaining a special foid card-which requires a bunch of things such as state certified training, completing and obtaining an approved application from the state police which reportedly takes a long time to get processed, and no mental illness-which can be anything from previous diagnosis of severe depression/anxiety, bipolar or schizophrenia, or drug addiction-even alcohol. Then there are the red flag laws, which I have mixed feelings on for a couple reasons. When justified it strong evidence of ideations or threats to harm self or others, I am all for it-however, only on a temporary basis and I want the process of getting the guns back to be more clearly laid out-sometimes it’s very unclear and also, if someone claims you are a threat-they fill out a form and a judge may issue an order to remove the guns and foid card-and here’s the kicker-you have to PROVE that you’re not a threat to get your guns back instead of what I would consider the normal standard of the court being the ones to have to prove that you shouldn’t be able to own guns. There are certain medications that if one takes-they may not be able to own a gun-but again, it’s not real clear and seems that it depends on the individual making the decision. Some might refuse the right to own a firearm if they are taking medication for schizophrenia regardless of how severe it is-and when they do the background check-they seek your medical records and what medications your on. I have seen laws be attempted to pass for all sorts of medications from anti depression meds, schizophrenia, some bipolar meds like lithium, and even pain killers and sleep aids like ambien-to the best of my knowledge, I don’t know if any of those meds have been passed and when I tried to search-everything kept saying “it may disqualify you” but it is unclear whether the simply taking a certain med disqualifies them as you. Some states will even look at medical MJ use as well. Look, I don’t want to see people that see things or hear voices owning a firearm either-but I am against the blurry edges surrounding red flag laws, who can file a complaint against you, taking certain meds disqualifying you, having certain disorders preventing you, or using to prove you’re not a danger.
And one final thing-municipal city codes or punishments for crimes are not supposed to be more strict than the state code but for some reason Chicago is allowed to based upon their own interpretation of home rule laws and it’s not challenged by the state because when it comes to gun laws-the state hates guns as well unless it is a single shot musket used for hunting purposes only.
