Not sure yet. Probably at a Kimpton. I am there for a week, but by wife and kid are coming too so its kind of up in the air.

Last tiem I was there we had a reception at the Brixton (sp, I think) in the Ace hotel. It was supposed to be a big deal b/c the chef Anne Bloonberg or something hosted us. I know there are all kind of rules for MDs and comped stuff but lol if anything thinks those rules affect anything.

It's nothing like it once was. Our lead clinical advisor has to pay his own way when we go to dinner, report it and produce a receipt that he paid. 20 yrs ago I knew a specialist who was being flown to France on a private jet for a weekend to educate Euro docs on a new drug. That just doesn't happen anymore.

The pharma rep schtick has totally changed. I remember when reps would go into to see a doc and the doc would have a list of what they wanted ready.

I try to avoid fried and fast foods, but today for lunch I crushed some Popeye's Fried Chicken.


3 pieces of spicy fried chicken, cajun rice, mashed potatoes& gravy, and biscuits.

i had bought a pecan pie a few weeks back, and after a night of drinking, i got home and ate like 3/4 of it lol. didn't eat the entire next day till like 8pm, i was so damn full.

unfortunately had the opposite experience yesterday. had been craving a burger for a few days & finally went to a tavern down the street to satiate that craving, but the burger ended up being woefully mediocre.

Granola - So, I made granola for the 1st time at home today. Turned out pretty darn good in my own opinion.

Reubens - Made a Reuben casserole today as well. Not sure how that's turned out yet as I'm not diving in till later, but it sure smells good.
