Who's the biggest fighter in the history of each weight class?
HW: Lesnar maybe? He probably cut from over 280 pounds.
LHW: Maybe DC. According to Big John McCarthy he was 236lbs for Rumble 2.
MW: Maybe Rockhold. 6ft3in and definitely over 210lbs in the cage.
WW: Woodley probably. The dude is made of muscle.
LW: Wasn't Tibau nearly 200lbs in the cage back in the day as a LW?
FW: No clue. McGregor has to be up there, though.
BW: No clue.
FLW: Lineker or Borg?
Best unique thread topic I’ve seen in a minute...nice.
HW - Soa Palelei cut from over 300 I think, Bigfoot Silva when he was on the TRT has to be up there around 300 too I think.
LHW - Anthony Johnson was fighting HW, think his walk around weight before cutting to LHW is like 235 so similar to Comier. I think Bader is similar too, seems like big strong wrestlers are the archetype but less of those stylistically at bigger weight classes now that TDD is getting so much better across all divisions.
MW - Think you are right on Rockhold he says he walks around 215-220...Romero is huge too, probably in the same ballpark.
WW - Woodley cuts from around 200 so yeah pure muscle since he doesn’t seem that big.....Hendricks pre-USADA would balloon up to like 220 but that’s not real weight he’s probably like 195 without the blubber. Dude who just tanked him Paulo Borrichina looks like he is bigger then Woodley somehow is taller with same thickness. Honorable mention to Rumblre lol.
LW - Tibeau as noted, Khabib is same range but probably starting his cut lower now due to prior issues.
FW - McG is probably like 170-175 walk around so up there, that new dude Zabit looks even bigger since he is like 6’3. Max looks giant Don’t know how those dudes make the cut.
BW - Rafael Assuncao? Is pretty thick for the division as someone else noted but other then that nothing comes to mind.
FLY - Cejudo? He looks like death on the scales.
