West Hollywood isn't a private community. Anyone can walk right up to any house if they are inclined. One of the reasons I declined to opportunity to buy a home in the Hollywood Hills.

It's underground breeders, and just shitheads looking to make a quick buck selling purebreds. The dog thefts have apparently really picked up during COVID, even up here, because dogs are being sold like mad due to people being cooped up in their houses going stir crazy.

It's not a pure breed dog if you don't have the pedigree paperwork to go with it. You can't get a pedigree on a stolen dog, especially one with that type of smoke attached to it.

If you think you bought a purebred dog, but you don't have the pedigree, which includes a genealogy, then you in fact are mistaken and you don't have a pure breed. You have a mutt.
