I am seeing how popular boxing movies are as is the new karate kid. Yet i dont see an amazing MMA movie that has become iconic.

Is the mma culture off putting for people?
 
It's hard to make mma into a flashy movie. Warrior did good job, however. If you show true mma then you will have to show a lot of grinding out of wins, wrestling, etc. Average people are more interested in fantasy, like some mysterious unbeatable kung fu master head kicking 80 people in a row.
 
Never back down is a timeless classic tho.

Not counting the direct to video movies where Frank Mir and Heath Herring fight like they are Cung Le, we really haven't seen a whole lot. As a poster above me said, Warrior is a good one but it really leans more and more on the fantasy side as the movie goes on.
 
Too violence think of the children!
 
Because scripted fight scenes always suck,no exception.
 
Nobody wants to watch a movie where the main protagonist ducks the contender and decides to fight a chump for more money before missing weight and the fight gets cancelled and the movie ends.
 
cuz laying on someone doesn't translate well onscreen

At least check it out for Mir's Oscar winning fight scene with Heath Herring
 
Not MMA related but when I saw Tito and Chuck at Cradle to the Grave I had no idea what MMA was and impressed a lot...
 
Nobody wants another MMA/UFC film. They are all shit.
