What are people's opinions on each type of boxing glove? What are the advantages and disadvantages and which do you prefer?

I like turtles.

But seriously, I prefer lace-ups for just about everything. They fall short on wrist support in most cases, but I find that I don't really need very much.

For convenience and wrist support, hook-and-loop is nice. This is especially true if you're doing mitts and switching (when your handwraps start to get sweaty velcro makes it a lot easier to put on and take off gloves). But in every other instance, I don't mind the inconvenience of lace-ups.

I don't tie the laces very tightly either. They're just snug and I have to work to get them on if I'm by myself, but I don't mind the extra work.

I was never very interested in hybrids (seems like overkill).

I like Lace ups, even though I have limited experience with them. Hook and Loop, however, is an easy alternative.

can someone give an example of what hybrids are?

Wrist strap feels better to me. Not sure why

[edit] - after a little bit of thinking, I don't like the feeling of laceups sticking to my arms for a long time, feeling funny while bending and not letting any air in there. It's like a claustrophobic type feeling lol
