Media KZ's pay is embarrassing

UFC Fight Night: Korean Zombie vs Rodriguez – Nov 10/18 – L (Rodriguez) – $115,000 ($60,000 to show, $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus, $5,000 fight week incentive pay)*

UFC Fight Night: Moicano vs Korean Zombie – Jun 22/19 – W (Moicano) – $175,000 ($60,000 to show, $60,000 win bonus, $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus, $5,000 fight week incentive pay)*

UFC Fight Night: Edgar vs The Korean Zombie – Dec 21/19 – W (Edgar) – $195,000 ($70,000 to show, $70,000 win bonus, $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus, $5,000 fight week incentive pay)*
Those aren’t real figures though.

The estimates are based on the disclosed purses from the time that the most recent contracts were signed and the normal, documented progression of pay in UFC contracts.

It's not like these are PPV title fights, and it's not the Zuffa era where Lorzenzo was throwing around the much lauded "backstage bonuses."

This is likely very close to his actual purse.

That said. In the future, it's going to be impossible to even do the estimates because the UFC has successfully lobbied all of the commissions to stop releasing purse information.

That works when a fighter has had a recent fight in a state that publishes figures. Where it falls down is where a fighter has a new contract or hasn't fought in a publishing state for a number of years. So when was the last time KZ fought in such a state, 2011/12?

So where does one find accurate fighter pay?

A fighters record on Tapology will list all their officially published purses, mainly Nevada and California with a handful of other states. Nevada stopped in July though.

dumb ufc simps will still say "but why he sign the contract!! he should honor the contract" because thats what they say anytime a fighter wants to renegotiate for a fair share. these "fans" act like contracts are some honorable doctrines but corps like the UFC reneg whenever it benefits them as well

ugh, no the fuck it doesn't? lol
And what is the best answer to a ufc simp saying you sign the contract deal with it? Is everything rigged in ufc favour? Yes. But they are not doing something that is not in the contract. You can try to negotiate clauses for yourself but ufc hold all the cards. I believe when you sign a contract you should fullfill it. Also if you find it unfair that ufc can renegotiate after you lose you can try to not have it in your contract or seek out other offers.

the best answer to "you sign the contract deal with it" is; no

why should you fulfill these contracts when this is a dynamic sport and things change from fight to fight.

these guys are negotiating clauses but you can't actually win the negotiations until you have leverage, which is usually in the middle of a contract. you're even saying everything is rigged in their favor, so why do you have a problem with guys doing what they can? saying "oh just go somewhere else" is so unrealistic. Where the hell are they supposed to go? lol. the UFC has had to fight to prove they aren't a monopoly in court for a reason.

the ufc on many occasions has said "hey you only have one fight left on your deal, you need to sign a new seven fight deal if you want your next fight to be a big one" that's the same thing but you're ok with them doing it but not the fighters? these dudes have to look out for themselves. "honoring" a contract isn't going to be repaid by the "honorable" ufc lmao.

Im not saying its a good thing or suport it but if thats in the contract it must be honored simply. The ufc have those clauses in the contract cause they know they can. The fighters is always free to deny the deal because they are not fair which they are not.

The only way for fighters to have leverage is a fighter union. The UFC doesnt need to negotiate they can just offer you the fights they are contracted too and if you decline they can freeze your contract so the ufc doesnt have to renegotiate.

Yeah, yeah. He signed a long term, low pay deal and then missed a lot of time due to his military commitments and injuries, but this is still a fucking joke.

Dude has headlined half a dozen cards for the UFC.

Hes headlined alot of major events, especially when he did the korea one. Hes made more than whats on here

Nate made 20k for main events till Conor made him rich

Not to worry bro. That is worth ten times as much in korean dollars.

Kind of a shitty way to put it. I think you go to jail if you skip out on mandatory military stuff.

I don't know how it works in South Korea but in Israel they don't fuck around. You do your military service or you go to prison. You can get medical exemptions there or educational exemptions (if you are studying to be a doctor for example) but otherwise pretty much everyone does their service.

I actually think its a really good concept. I served in the Canadian military and took a great deal away from it. Imagine if Canada and the US had mandatory military service. All those fat lazy fucks would have to go out and spend a couple of years getting in shape and actually learning useful skills.

singed contract on own free will tough titty

If its true KZ has not fought in a place that list official pay outs since 2012..
LOL at all the outrage...
