KZ calls out Cub

i dunno how you can say he lost badly to aldo honestly, he got caught by an opener. We really have zero clue how he matches up with aldo.

I know for certain that Aldo's knee matches up really well with Cub's eye socket.

1. Sad attempt at being funny. 0/10

2. JDS ko'ed Cain in 60 seconds, so why would the rematch be any different?

Relax Sparky. First of all, my attempt at being funny was at least a 2 or 3 out of ten. Secondly, I said nothing about a rematch not being different. I was taking issue with a poster who claims that Aldo did not beat Cub badly in the first fight because he beat him quickly, which is a very stupid thing to say. It is accurate to describe their first match as a bad loss for Cub.

Nah. Cub earned a title shot. Back to the end of the line, Zombie.

I don't know what a sparky is, and you see a match ending quickly does not always indicate someone losing badly. People get caught, it was not that bad. 9/10 times Cub probably would not have fallen for that and the fight would have lasted longer. So losing quickly is not always losing badly. Take Cain vs JDS I as an example.

This guy is so overrated and not to mention he does not deserve Cub right now like he didnt deserve his title fight and Aldo proved that.

"Fight me."

Amazing lol. KZ is still one of the best in the division this fight would be unreal. That alone is enough for me to want to see this fight, even though I believe Cubs earned a title shot.

KZ doesn't deserve this fight right now. Trying to make a name off Cub.

He already has a name. Of the two, he is the only one with a title shot under his belt. Cub would certainly enhance his name markedly with a win over KZ and be guaranteed a title shot at that point.

That just shows how overrated the dude is. He did not even earned the first title shot, he got it due to injuries.

He wouldn't have gotten the shot without being a huge fan favorite and elevating himself with awesome performances like the Poirier fight.

Cain lost badly to JDS in their first fight.
Cub lost badly to Aldo when they met.

I didn't say it proves anything, but it counts.

I don't know why early KO/TKO losses get dismissed as meaningless on here, but winning an endless stream of rounds is so much more important.

Cub, in his early days, used to shoot for a TD early in a fight without setting things up.
That is what led to him losing against Aldo and Pulver.
He stopped doing that and became a top fighter, because the rest of his skillset is outstanding.

We have no way of knowing if Cub would not be caught 9/10 times. We only know he got caught 1/1 times.

Cain vs JDS 1 was a bad loss for Cain. He has since avenged it several fold, no doubt.

Not sure how I feel about this matchup right now, but that's now my favorite callout ever. Very Hunt-esque.

Anyway, as much as I love Chan Sung Jung, he should probably have to get back in the win column before facing a potential title challenger on a good winning streak. Cub should either be fighting for the title or, at worst, get a matchup that will guarantee him that shot with a win. If a guy is on a 6 fight streak in your promotion and he somehow isn't worthy of the title shot, then someone has done a crap job of matchmaking in those 6 fights.

Great fight! But cub deserves a title fight. If like to see lamas/KZ tho

Good fight, but KZ is coming off a loss (granted it was a title fight) and Cub has a 6 fight win streak. I understand KZ's sentiment, a win over Cub could put him in title contention.

However, Cub did hint that waiting around a year isnt ideal. I would assume he would take a fight, but the fight would have to be something special.

That would be a sick fight.

But Cub will get a rematch against either Aldo or Mendes next. He lost badly to both of them, but he's a lot more dangerous now.

Not exactly...

If Mendes beats Aldo then they will immediate rematch, you now this
