The management for former heavyweight world title challenger Kubrat Pulev has requested an immediate purse bid for an IBF title eliminator against Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller on July 28, according to Dan Rafael. The winner of the Pulev vs. Miller fight will be the mandatory challenger to IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs).

It's nice to see big fights between top guys instead of the low levels and waiting for AJ or Wilder. With this Whyte/Parker and Takam/Chrisola there's some decent matches comi.

I'm not the best person to explain but my understanding is that when two sides are ordered to fight but can't come to an agreement there is a purse bid ordered which is sort of like an auction for the rights to host the event. Both side will make an offer and the highest bidder wins. I believe third parties are also able to bid if they want. I think there was a case recently where a third party came out of nowhere to win a purse bid.
