The champagne of beer.

Any recommendations from the fans out there?

Same issue with '93. Rarely do I see a Kolsch push 5%. Wouldn't turn down a Kolsch but not going out of my way to find one.

I think this was the first Kolsch i've tried (a few weeks back):

It was refreshing, and very easy to drink. I thought it was a bit too mild for me though

rogue actually has a restaurant/bar that brews here in san francisco. not only are their beers awesome, the food is great as well. great burgers. if anyone is ever in the north beach section of san francisco, stop by.

We should start a thread to talk about beer. That would be EPIC!!!!!

Really though. I've had a few but none of them excited me enough to really seek out more.

I try to get kolsch whenever it's available. Which is not often in the US.

Most decent craft beer stores will have a couple kolschs available.

I enjoy them well enough, but I hate paying good money for such weak beer. I mean, it's not all about the ABV, but these days It's tough to get excited about anything under 7-8%.

Gose is another very mild but interesting style that you might like if you enjoy Kolsch.

Here's another great champagne style beer (belgian ale)
