Knockout artists that are dangerous the entire fight.

Your thread made me think of this (below), but I wanted not to post anymore while drunk, so waited to find and post it. Tho not MMA, it sure epitomises what you are talking about (I think).

It is from an old Sherdog article. I cannot find it on line anymore but luckily I am a weirdo and had printed it out and filed it.

This is one of the prime examples of what im talking about. JCC was an absolute legend. Imagine seein a guy with this record on your screen

Also look at De La Hoya's accolades by the time he got to the end of his career

I get goosebumps during this intro:

Black Beast is the epitome of this I think. Can be gassed to shit and getting his ass beat but if he catches you clean at any point it's a problem.

He can look like his dead and about to collapse and a single blow puts them to sleep.

This is classic lewis. Even takes his pants off cause his balls are hot and Rogan "understands".

Robbie Lawler, Dan Henderson, Chuck Liddell in his prime came from behind with some nice knockouts.

Some fighters are only dangerous usually early on,like Conor,Vitor,Hendricks,Rumble Johnson, and if you weather the storm, they lose that pop in their punches.

I think there's a clear difference in swarming someone early, and being always dangerous

Guys like Dan Henderson,Wanderlei,Shavkat, etc are dangerous the whole fight, and dont lose that when someone can handle the early barrage.

Hmm, KO artist? When he got KO'd by Vitor in the early days of UFC, he seem limited TBH. But in Pride his stock raised. I was amazed how he beat Rampage twice in Pride. Chuck, the LHW Champ was not at rampages level and loss to Rampage in Pride. I think the early Pride days of Wanderlei could have beat Chuck at LHW in the UFC but the rules in Pride matched Wanderlei too so who knows. ...Well, KO artist..nah...but brute aggression with a fierce aggression...yeah thats him..he was a beast at his peak in Pride. Had he never took that Head kick from Cro Cop his chin would have lasted longer.

lol @ questioning that at any point in his life, much less his career.
Wins 35
By knockout 27

Ok I was wrong, its ok to admit it, I was just not seeing him as that KO guy...but his ratio says it all. I had a hard time with his career the way he left the UFC after Vitor and I though Chuck was better but in hindsight, I think he grew so formidable in pride...his career is hard for me to judge TBH...but, he was one of the best in Pride for sure...I wish I could take away the Cro Cop head kick to his head...he was fighting someone way heavier than him...UFC, was not at that level of Pride imo.....Pride put up matches that were career ending...

Who's the guy that got body rocked then keeled over before landing an overhand? Scott Smith I wanna say

Well, obviously his willingness to fight anyone, at any weight, was bound to catch up with him eventually. The main thing which he could have controlled perhaps,is not to fight Dan Henderson only some months after the loss to Mirko. His style of charging right into people also hastened his demise. Lots of damage, and wear and tear in this career long aggressive style.

He knocked out Pete Sell, yes that was a good one. Scott Smith has a few Chris leben esque comeback KOS

Dodson, Lineker both of thee carried power late and also across weight classes
Bowel Romero is the best example of this though. Jan also

I was coming in to toss his name out there. Did it to Cung Le as well as the already mentioned Pete Sell.
Dude lost to some solid fighters too.

He also knocked out Kyle Noke as soon as rd 2 began into next week after losing the first rd. It was awesome cos it looked like he knocked Kyle out of the tv.

Black Beast is a great pick. Ngannou as well.
Ngannou doesn't have a finish after the 2nd round. There is no evidence his power carries right through a fight. There is evidence of him gassing so hard that he can barely throw strikes any more in a 5 round fight.
