I had my knee in kind of a pigeon pose stretch when I was rolling this weekend. I heard a loud snap, and there was a little bit of pain on the outside of the knee, almost by my hamstring and calf. The next day my knee was very sore, but there was no swelling. It's getting better, but still hurts to fully squat or kneel.

I'm seeing a doctor this coming weekend btw.

Was wondering if anyone had any input? I really don't know how it happened. There was no major force or twist. I was basically just kneeling funny from top side control.

Thanks!

LCL or lateral meniscus probably.

Lupus. It's definitely lupus.

As you should well know it doesnt mean it's the same thing, but I had the exact same symptoms when I hurt my knee last year and it was a LCL partial(thankfully) tear.

Did it heal on its own? How long did it take?

Since it was just a partial tear the doc said it'd heal on it's own. And it did, I did light training in about 4-5 weeks, 6-7 it felt 100%. Now it is as good as new, just my other knee that hurts :p
