is Gina supposed to look like a 60 year old Korean poker player?

It's going to be a great movie. All of these people are such talented actors.

Oh wait.

Im waiting for the all female reboot in 20 years.

(looks fun will watch)

Looking legit. Bautista as Tong Po is very interesting casting, and a big role for Dave. Good for him.

Why do fight choreographers insist on people doing shit like front flips from kicks like that? This is why I can't watch fighting movies

I dunno, why do people fall perfectly in love in movies and have impossibly cute moments together? How come in movies people can levitate shit with their minds? Why is it in movies that someone can be knocked 20 feet through the air by an explosion and get up and walk away with just a few cuts and bruises? Why is it in movies action characters hold twin pistols and perform graceful movements while avoided like 300 bullets that just got shot at them? How come. . .

Either they believe it could actually happen, they think or looks cool, or both. Doing a front flip from a kick across the face does not look cool and I refuse to believe they think it can actually happen. If the guy went down realistically from the face kick it would look more brutal and less fucking cartoonish. Less is more. The more realistic the better

All I know is that Van Damme better do some really cool shit in this movie. I've waited 19 years for him to do another MA movie and the wait better have been worth it.

Van Damme is pretty much the old teacher from the first movie

He will help train the new hero

I think people often watch movies for escapism--to literally escape into a fantasy world where things are stylized and idealized. They literally want to ESCAPE from reality, not be bombarded with it.

I'm not saying there's not a place for "realistic" action, but I enjoy other kinds of fantasy movie violence.

I assume you don't get into Chinese martial arts movies like Hero and Crouching Tiger?

Is GSP the brother that gets crippled? Also what is Gina doing there, there should be a young (Asian?) girl that is the analogue of Mei Li (not sure if I spelled her name right).

damn...gina did not age well...she looks like a washed up van damme

Van damm is actually making a pretty nice come back. Starting off with some smaller roles, some comedic stuff. Unlike Seagal, he's making a pretty decent come back.

I have no problem with fiction but things have to look real. And fights specifically are just different. I've seen too many real fights to be anything other than insulted when I see movie fight scenes.

This isn't the 20 second clip where you can't make out shit?
