Khamzat will never fight again

It's really sad. We could have had had some terrific cards, tremendous buildups, and iconic finishes. But we lost it all, for no reason except Dana's petty jealousy.

I think Dana doesn't like any fighter getting more attention than he does. He has to be the star of the show, and Khamzat has been blackballed because he threatened to challenge Dana's monopoly on media attention.

Dana also wants to send a message to fans that boring fighters are the future. They don't want anyone getting too much leverage in contract negotiations.

I don't think think his missing weight had anything to do with it. Thiago Alves missed weight in a title eliminator and got a title fight off of it.

No, he won't fight in Abu Dhabi because Dana won't allow it.

Chimaev has been very vocal that his primary motivator for fighting is money, to provide for his family. he has name recognition now; he is a brand. he can probably make money on just his name recognition alone now

Had he made weight and destroyed Nate Diaz with ease, his stardom would have increased and he would have had that title fight

But since he missed weight and screwed up that card and showed no remorse to the UFC and the fans about that error, he is now just some guy that Dana will make irrelevant and that no casual will care about now

Khamzat is just washed up now as far as the UFC is concerned they have Shavkat & Bo now

You must be high AF. Dana loves nothing more than a fighter that media/fans loves. McGregor, Jones, Brock for example. Dana will rewrite, ignore, bend the rules and literally move events to accommodate a super star
