Khamzat is sort of a loose cannon in his post fight interviews. His cockiness will only continue to get worse if he finishes a top 10 guy with ease. Imagine a reporter asking him about potential khabib fight and he says that he will Smesh Khabib in the heat of the post fight moment. Khabib is also very confident in his abilities, it would be very interesting to see how he would take the trash talk from someone in his region.

Dagestani lion vs the Chechen wolf potential super fight. Who wins?
 
Doesn't matter. Neither guy defeats Erick Silva, imo.

He's the future and would make all of Dagestan look like a bunch of mud ridden, milk drinkers.
 
Khamzat is playing the game, building his brand. I doubt you see him talk shit about Khabib or GSP though. Levels to this

Chiamev should realize Khabib is with Kadyrov and any shit talk might go unnoticed. AFAIK Chimaev is living in Sweden sooo... this could go bad if things are not said carefully.

He's playing the PR game and he's backing it up with his performances. I see nothing wrong here.

However, he's yet to be really tested. Give him Maia and see how well he can tread water. That'd be a good measuring stick for him. He loses = he's fool's gold. He wins = the Khamzat train keeps rolling.

When asked about khabib he only said “I like this guy” it’s a much different tone than other fighters from Dagestan who adore khabib.

he’s much more outspoken and cocky than khabib, Islam, umar etc and he trains with psycho Reza Madadi. Dagestanis fight each other all the time on the amateur circuit idk why sherdoggers think they would never fight each other in the octagon.. it’s very possible if the Khamzat hype is real

Yep I agree, I see the cokyness too, but it's like a russian fighter talking crap about fedor, will not happen.

He will never say khabib is my idol, but will certainly not trash talk him or try to create an antagonism.

It’s a very interesting fantasy fight since their style is so similar. The top control and pressure is almost identical. Khabib is a higher class grappler with credentials to prove it, he also has high fight IQ but man Khamzat is much bigger. This is a dream fight if Khamzat can get the WW belt

I didn't watch the two events he was in, and don't really see the hype cause he fought nobodies.

Have to find them online, what i heard is that he "smash" people really fast, but would like to see him against more accomplished grapplers to be on the hype train.

In term of marketing it's really great that he fought two times in 10 days, really smart thing to do.
 
Izzy 2.0 is the much easier opponent. No rassling, just good tdd. Probably gets KOd and submitted at the same time.
But if Khamzat manages to dethrone Marty (real possibility) then challenge Izzy (if still champ), then he'll be revered as god here on sherdog.
I favor strongly Khamzat over the two current champs. yes, I know you gonna say he ain't tested, and he ain't, but it takes some foresight to predict these things.
You will hate him for some time and then you'll love him.

 
I disagree. It is not a tactical mistake to make his career at 170. Even if he did fight and win at 185 more than once.

If he was given 2 and only 2 choices, title shot at 170 or title shot at 185, I might agree with TS. We don’t live in that alternative universe. Yet.
