I am not sure I agree his popular outside MMA circles. Not in the way Conor or Rhonda were. I can't see what main stream talk shows would want him and what sponsors think he would sell their product better than others.

Even in the MMA circles the weight loss issue, the burns fight and the very slow rate of fights have taken a lot of shine off him.
 
Guy is becoming annoying, he got taken to life and death by Burns who is a former 155er. He has made 170 one time in the US, got to cheat weigh ins in Abu Dhabi repeatedly and skip cutting weight, due to no athletic commission + Dana White privilege. The other time he came in at 179lbs, guy needs to either take some fights and show he can make weight or shut up.
 
Chimaev gonna get exposed soon ….those lead uppercuts and shit fight IQ gonna be the downfall

When they don't want to fight lower ranked fighter, their fanboys calls them smart

This statement sort of turns me off as a fan. Is the UFC holding him back or he has some issue?

So lets be clear about something. You cited a fake/incorrect data point as part of your argument. I highlighted the factual inaccuracy. You replied with verbatim the exact same line of logic.

So it's clear you feel this way regardless of data or facts. Which is fine. Clearly that's your right. But it's also easy to ignore your opinion now as it's a subjective narrative willfully denying or ignoring facts. Again, it's Sherdog - that's par for the course. But you'll forgive me if I don't bother replying anymore.

If they were active stud that would be fine.

But so many of them are so entitled, pull out machines and inactive.

Chimaev got koed by the number 19 ranked virus on the planet (covid 19) and retired because of it.

Ahhh the old tune up fights. Those go very wrong sometimes
 
Khamzat was reasonably active and generated a huge hype train, and has now slowed down way too much the hype is dissipating.
