Honestly for me the best fight at WW is Colby vs Chimaev. Obviously both guys excel at wrestling, are for the most part levels above their counterparts at wrestling at WW. Let’s see who is the better MMA wrestler. We haven’t seen a lot on the feet from Khamzat and I have.a sneaky feeling we would get to see his striking a lot more against Colby. Magny is the guy that destroys hype trains. He is solid everywhere and is actually bigger than Khamzat. I think the fear is IF Magny was to pull out another win then they have no faith in pushing him for a title shot so UFC is looking for a bigger name that is either stylistically easier for Khamzat or a vet on the down turn of their career (Nate)

UFC should make it public that if Khamzat steamrolls Magny then a title shot is next. That way it is win-win-win. Win for Neil (if he wins) in that it raises the stakes of the fight he already wants. Win for Khamzat that it leads to the next big fight. Win for the promotion in that it adds relevance to a squash match that most casuals don't care about at all since they don't know Neil.

If promoted right it could surpass the stale state of the top of the division (Masvial/Colby in title limbo + Ali not letting Gilbert fight Khamzat + Leon not signing for fights). Then you still have Luque waiting in the wings as well.

I'm on the Hazmat hype train, but it is pretty odd that Hazmat wants a ranked fighter.....Magny offers to fight him.....but he hasn't said anything about it. Nothing. And Dana saying no one wants to fight Hazmat, meanwhile, Magny has been very vocal about wanting this fight for months. I mean, at least address the challenge. I don't get it. Hazmat fought Leech and Leech isn't even a big name. So it can't be because he wants a fighter with star power.

As much as I like Hazmat, it's a bad look that he has not responded at ALL the the ONLY guy that is most vocally calling him out. Smells like duck to me.
