How do you see such a fight playing out..

What does Khamzat need to do to secure the W over Leon and possibly attempt to roll over him. I think Leon is all-rounded and presents certain chellenges but it would be an absolute epic fight either way..

How do you think both will approach the fight?

I see Khamzat finishing Leon the way he did Holland.
Look forward to the fight being confirmed. That finish is definitely a possibility but Leon is way more savvy than Holland in a lot of places. Fight could/should be made. Who'd you have Usman fight to stay in contention?

Sadly, they confirmed Usman will have his rematch first. But if somehow Khamzat fight Leon first, I want to see Shavkat vs Usman.

Leon's grappling is really bad he gets taken down and pummeled.

Not interested, buddeh.

Borz had what.. Three different opportunities to fight Edwards?

Sorry, but there is no universe where Borz deserves another gifted opportunity to fight Edwards. Most especially an actual title fight.

I think Edwards stands a way better chance than people think - he is by far the superior striker, and has excellent defensive grappling. Khamzat is likely to dominate early, but if he fades the same we he did against Burns, he is going to get pieced up in the later rounds.

Of course Usman is going to get an immediate rematch, and he deserves it. Khamzat missed weight in his last 170 fight by what 9 pounds? If Khamzat had taken a real fight (not Nate Diaz), like Belal or even Brady, then made weight and won, then you could talk about him getting in there before Usman. But not for beating Holland at a catchweight caused he missed weight.

He should move up to MW for the next year, but I suspect he'll keep up his thing of calling out fights on twitter that aren't going to happen. He called out Pereira already. Dude is not even ranked at 185 and he's calling for a title shot. He should go up and fight a contender like Vettori. He beats Marvin, give him a shot at 185. Let 170 play out and check back in in the second half of 2023.

Unfortunately after he got a little bit of fame, Khamzat has become a really cherrypicker and he tweets about fights more than he actually fights.

Why is this thread on lightweight?
