The answer is bone density plus lean mass/muscle. It's not always about height = more weight. That's why you have heavyweights with wide range of height and physical variables.

These people focus too much on rankings only. They will only acknowledge him once he works his way in the rankings. That's their only way to measure skills. They don't have the ability to do the eye test on fighters skill sets.

Khamzat is tall but he has a fairly slender build. Hes still huge for a welterweight tho.

He's 6'2 and walks around 194-198lb and during the fight camp that drops down probably to below 188lb. He's not heavy because he uses weight training to be stronger and more conditioned not to put on muscle mass like a lot of fighters.

Rumble Johnson would cut from 220 to 170. 50 lbs. Most I've ever discovered. I sent a Tweet to Kevin Randleman when he was still with us (RIP big fella) asking him what Rumble's general walkaround weight is while he was still fighting at WW; he told me 220 lbs typically (we know he went WAY bigger than that too lol)

Chimaev is no Anthony Johnson though and I agree he'd be pushing his limits fighting LHW. He's a big fucking dude for WW though, interested to see what he does.

Yup. Jan seems to be more of an endomorph and Kamzat somewhere between mesomorph and ectomorph. Can be deceiving at first when comparing two people like this.
