What's funny is there are literally hundreds of really good prospects out there that they could have potentially brought in who could have likely ran right through Mckee and Phillips in just as dominating fashion.

If you take a close look at his record, his opponents were more experienced than him in his EVERY FIGHT. And he finished them ALL. That is impressive.

it's not so much protection as much as it just doesn't make sense to put masvidal against anyone but a known draw for ppv numbers

Step back for a sec. you call his UFC caliber opponents scrubs but fail to recognize that you call them scrub because of how good he fought.
Appreciate his talent instead of minimizing his dominant wins by calling his opponents “scrubs”.

I mean, he is technically “green” too at this point in his UFC career. Only his 2nd fight.

Its the exact same thing you hear when a up coming fighter is working their way up

Some people just have to be negative and try to say hype train with the intention of putting the fighter down instead of just being positive and seeing the performances for what it is, a insanely dominant and impressive performance showing a lot of potential.

People said the exact same thing about Adesanya in his first fight, second fight, third fight etc.
There's nothing wrong with supporting and being excited for and up and coming fighter, instead of just coming to conclusions that he isnt good and will get KO'd soon just because he hasnt fought the best yet.

Why do people feel the need to try and put down a fighter that is having success, getting positive attention and showing a lot of promise? in some cases it says a lot more about the fan

I mean why even book the fight if the other guy literally had no path to victory? idk man whatever --I did get a chuckle when scrub Dan Hardy announced a new star is born in the UFC. He is fighting on short notice in pandemic times,who cares who he fights.

he beat 2 dudes in less than 10 days, 200 pushes delivered and 2 received. He never was cocky, he is just saying he is the same " lvl as this guys " ( referring kamaru and jorge ).
