Khamzat Chimaev Ha The Potential To Be Goat

Yeah, that was pure luck. No skill. Just pure luck.

In fact, Khamzat’s 11-0 record has been based on wins he got lucky in.

Am I doing this right?

Like I said cheap TD and had to empty the tank to control Kevin's skinny ass.. Nothing impressive about that win

He is like a super charged khabib.

same issues with weight cuts too except khamzat doesn’t mind fighting at higher weight classes.

I think you just give him the WW title shot and then have him vacate it once he then follows up with the MW title shot.

Khamzat ain’t making WW for too many times as he goes on.

I feel like Khamzat and Khabib are world's apart on the ground...

9/10 Khabib takes you down and controls you, drowns you...

With Khamzat, he leaves so much space for scrambles, which is fine for opponents who don't have grappling as their strong suit, but against true wrestlers/submission fighters, he might run into trouble controlling them.

He's fun to watch though.

Khabib is the better grappler of the two but Khamzat is the way better wrestler and better submission artist making him way more dangerous then Khabib

Chimaev is special for sure. That explosiveness is unreal and looks better at 180-185 lbs. That said, he fought a guy who’s not even in the top15…. lets not hype the guy out of our minds again, please.
Holland not top 15, he's top 10. Maybe not in official rankings cuz he's been bouncing weight classes but his scrambling against khamzat for that long was not unskillful and he has 81" spider monkey reach and ko power

Man has 1 top 5 win and people discussing goat potential. Why sherdoggers love jumping the gun? Let’s discuss it when it’s actually a reality.

Respectfully disagree.

I feel Khamzat is inefficient with his grappling, when Khabib controls his opponent (which is what wrestling is supposed to be about), his opponents rarely get away. Khamzat's submission game is respectable but against whom? It's not like he's doing this to elite submission fighters/grapplers, which isn't to say he can't, his career is just too new.

Holland = unranked fighter (was @ MW)
Burns = former LW (was ranked #2 at WW when fighting Khamzat)

herp derp

Holland = short notice fight prepared against a striker, not a wrestler. Khamzat was prepared against a striker anyway with Diaz.

Burns = smaller in about everything : height, reach, weight. Oh yeah and also 35 years old during the fight while Chimaev was 27 years old = 8 years younger.

Yet he almost got TKO by Burns... but yeah he's a super human <GOT2>

Khamzat ending guys in the 1st was never a fluke but it was something mastered any fighter he faces could potential run into such streamrolling.. Khabib controlled guys but he didn't provide as extreme threat like Chimaev.. If he gets TD it could be the beginning of the end

I think Khamzat is a more exciting fighter, but Khabib's pressure and suffocating grappling style is superior to Khamzat's IMHO. That's just my take.

Khamzat in my opinion can put away the opponents khabib was dragging into deep rounds in just 1st round.. He doesn't need to drag it when he can get the finish

Maybe so, but then there is a chance his opponents get to their feet and regroup or there is a chance of him getting struck from top position from a wild up kick or whatever…

With Khabib, you didn’t have openings to scramble etc, at least, when you average out his opponents.

Shavkat and Sean Brady at ww.

Nothing about I say says anything about how he would do against Whittaker either.

Superb talent, but there are stiff tests ahead of him.

I remember when people were hyping Conor and Conor all ready had 2 tap losses.
I was never on the Conor train. Yeah, he won two belts but did he defend them? So now, he is 22-6. Hardly GOAT material.
I reiterate that Khamzat has the potential and will be in the GOAT conversation once he wins the Welter and Middleweight titles.
It's not just about who he beat, but how he beat them and I remember that Gilbert Burns was #2 as a welter, when Khamzat beat him and walked through his best shots.
I'm also the guy that saw potential in Amanda Nunez when few even knew who she was.

He doesnt have the discipline of Shavkat Rakmonov, who has the same potential and is slightly younger.

Brunson and Vetori are good fighters, and they they couldn't destroy Holland the way Chimaev did. He is very very good. He is also a cunt
