He can only sign a fight he is offered. I find it hard to believe they have offered him a fight that he has turned down. He’s not fighting down. So somebody above has to agree. I don’t personally know if either Magny, Belal, or Burns have officially ever been offered this fight. They signed the guy to fight number 3 at time Edwards a year ago. Three different times. After extorting Edwards. But that fight isn’t available anymore. Because apparently Edwards will finally get his TS next.

I think the UFC is dragging their feet on this. They want to get him the highest ranked fight possible. He could have fought Magny long before now. If both camps really wanted it. But, more importantly if the UFC wanted it. They are trying to give him the Yellow Brick Road to the TS. Which now is Burns. And all signs seem to that being what happens next. Because everybody else in top 5 is tied up now with future fights already signed. All that’s left is Burns.

Nope, I think this is on the UFC. But, all the talk from Borz is getting really fucking old considering nothing ever gets signed. But he’s merely walking down the Yellow Brick Road the UFC is willing to make for him. Even if it means sitting out a bit. He’d be a fool not to take that path. Why fight number 8 if the UFC wants and can get number 2, with a win meaning he’s next after Edwards?

No you got it backwards. Blame the UFC they have not offered or SENT any bout agreements. Trust me if he was turning down fights the UFC and Dana would absolutely put him on blast. They haven't got him a fight. Probably too busy ripping off all the fighters. I'm sure they will get to him soon though. They obviously want burns and they want it to line up with something else.

He said “he’s already proven that he’s willing…” and that is true - he fought 2x in 11 days and 3x in 2 months, before getting COVId. That’s proven willingness.

His brand certainly took a hit after that though.

Then he came to fight Li Jianling who is a great B list fighter, and now acts like he's the King of the UFC - calling out everyone, saying he'll fight 2 guys same night.

All this with 4 wins in his whole career against guys that have wikipedia pages.

Coaches have different roles with different fighters.
I have no idea of their dynamic to be honest sir, so can't really have an informed opinion.

That is him tho. It's his decision. If he wants to listen to his coach, that's perfectly fine. But how can you say you'll fight anyone anytime, then when they finally offer you an opponent, you turn it down because your coach told you to? That's why I said I stopped listening to him. Who's to say if he gets a title shot, he won't turn that down? I guess I'm just upset because I think he would beat the shit out of Rockhold lol
