khamzat bench press 110lbs dumbbells casually

So silly every time.

"I'm a fat and stubby 220lbs guy who only does strength training and I have optimized my programs for the last 8 years in order to press the most amount of weight and I don't think 110lbs is anything!!"

All you have to do is go to the gym and see how many people are pressing 110lbs DBs, and how many of them have Khamzat's build...
Really? I’m a 195 lb 5 ft 11 guy… I’m 36… 110s are hard but not ridiculous

I'm surprised none of my fellow Sherdoggers did this before me, but I went to the gym today to take a video of me benching 110lb dumbbells. Disclaimers: I bench pressed yesterday so I wasn't totally recovered (the dumbbells in my gym only go up to 100lbs so I had to drive to a different gym to do this), I haven't flat benched with dumbbells for many years (I do barbell flat bench and only use DBs for incline), and I'm nursing an elbow injury (hence I didn't totally lock out at the top)

Based on the speed that Kahmzat was moving the dumbbells vs how quickly I was able to move them, I'm skeptical that it was actually 50kgs he was lifting, but maybe he's just super strong. I'm a pretty strong guy (deadlift 525lbs, squatted 315lbs for 20 reps) but I'm old (41) and ever since I had rotator cuff surgery bench has been my weakest lift

There is no way in hell a guy with his strength level is visibly struggling with 25 kg dumbbells. I switch between 20kg and 28 kg dumbbells, and I am pretty unexceptional when it comes to weightlifting.
They are not superhuman. They have a lot of muscles trained and specific strengths. It doesn't mean they will be exceptional everywhere.

Hey Dana,
When Khamzat pulls out, call topdog555.
Not only would I bet on him to outmuscle DDP, but he would have the support of all Sherdog.
And that's a powerful thing

How much do you weigh?

Max bench press over 300?

How much do you weigh?

Max bench press over 300?

I'm 5'10 and weighed 209lbs this morning, maybe 11-12% bodyfat. I hit a 300lb bench a year and a half after I started lifting, back when I was 20, but haven't hit 300lbs since my shoulder surgery years ago. I hit 290lbs for 1 rep last week which is the most I've benched in a while, hoping to get back to 300lbs soon

There are videos of Beterbiev hitting 335 at 185 pounds. And block pressing 315 for 3 reps.

I agree though people have no clue how strong people in general are, and are brainwashed by Instagram and people on steroids.

Typically powerlifting is measured VS overall BW. Guy at 185 doing 335 is 1.8 BW bench. For reference Carwin at 270 lifted estimated 1RM of 400 is still very very strong at 1.4-1.5.

Almost certainly if his frame could hold it, Beterbiev at 220 after weight lifting/bulking for a year would hit 405.

Rampage was just on Bradley Martyn he only lifted for between 2-3 years according to self-reporting. And he barely got 275 while being 230+ pounds.

Tl:dr Beterbiev and Chimaev are incredibly strong relative to their body types (aka...you know).

Wrong again, he is not block pressing 315 for 3 reps, he gets 1 bounce rep barely, the block makes a huge difference, just try it out for yourself and see. He does 3 reps, bounce reps with 265, still very good for his weight and size. But to say that he would hit 405 after lifting for one year, unless he is on trenbolone, no way.

I didn't say he was superhuman, or needed to lift what a bodybuilder would lift. But he is considerably stronger than the average guy on the street. Visibly struggling with 25 kg weights would be far below the ability of an elite fighter in his prime at his weight class.

I weigh around the same and I'd say overall I'm reasonably fit for my age range, but I don't really lift very heavy at all, and those are the kind of weights I lift. 25 kg is not super light, but it is in no way impressive for someone that goes to the gym for 2 or 3 times a week, let alone a pro athlete. So I find it highly unlikely they're going to post this as a flex, since it would be the opposite of that.

Benching 50KGs in any form is fucking impressive. You guys need to look up the strength of the average man, it's abysmal. This is 5-10% of the entire world area here. and MM fighters aren't really known for their strength, so this does make Zat look very impressive. Especially for a lanklet.

That said, are we sure these aren't 50 LBS dumbbells? They easily could be.
Seeing as I am in my 40s with 2 wrists with metal in them, making heavier weight brutal on my wrists and can do 65 LB dumbbells, I think it's safe to say these are not 50lbs. I imagine Khamzat is a lot stronger than me.

I wouldn't say casually but yeah he's one of the strongest P4P fighters in the world.
Unless youre like 120 lbs, benching 220 as a man shouldnt be to hard to do if youre regularly strength training.

Look at his grip assuming we are watching same video. He is almost gripping the ends of the bar. I do stand corrected though about total weight lifted though in those videos.

I have however heard second hand of his 335 max bench press.(possibly he was heavier at the time?)

Also worth noting, top dog did 5 reps left arm almost never locking out, total grinds after 3. Beterbiev hitting 7 with at least 1RIR. And TD just threw up 290. It is highly likely Beterbiev at the time of that video had a max bench press in the 315-335 range.

While running 5+ miles a day and keeping his weight under 200 pounds. Doing weight lifting twice a week.

You don't think if he did dedicated powerlifting training for a year and gained 20-30 LBS he would hit 405? Most people just by benching multiple times a week can add 5-10% to their total over a few months.

And IMO he is already highly likely on the good stuff, just not using it to put on muscle/push more weights.
