Who is somebody in that division according to you? Just aasking, because Barboza was top 5 and still is, MJ was top 10 and beat Dustin, RDA was RDA, Conor we already know.

I mean do you want him to fight Tony, Dustin and Lee? Meaning he has to go through the whole division? Not even Tony or Conor done that. Or Dustin.

Khabib is not GOAT. May never even be. If he fights Dustin and Tony and wins-could be. And then goes 170 and fithts GSP.

Well, I mean, the gif clearly demonstrates Iaqunita fucking Lee up and he also won the fight.

I doubt the second fight goes any different. Lee is too chinny and his heart is weak.

They both improved. Iaquinta has beastly TDD, better power, striking, chin, and cardio.

Khabib's resume is weak if you're comparing him to fighters who are often referred to as GOAT's. Ferguson has a better resume.

Let's start calling Colby and Kamaru GOATs since they beat RDA.......and Ferguson, Alvarez, Tibau, Guida, etc.

He hasn't fought anyone close to his wrestling strength the last time he did was Tibau and he gave him huge problems, we can see how good Khabib is after fighting Tony and Lee the top fighters in his division.

Conor first fought in the UFC in April of 2013. By November of 2016, he had already fought 10 times, and had become a was a 2 Division Champion(And fought in 3 different weight classes).

Khabib first fought in the UFC, in January of 2012. By November of 2016, he had fought 8 times. But he only fought once against a Top 5 ranked opponent(RDA), despite being ranked in the Top 10, since 2013(Top 5 since June of 2014).

Several losses including to MJ ffs, who Khabib destroyed.

Best win is Kevin Lee, who is not even Iaquinta tier.

Exclude RDA? How? When they fought, RDA had not yet been a Champion, or fought in a Title fight.

Khabib - Was the LW Champion when they fought.
Eddie Alvarez - Was the LW Champion they fought.
Nate Diaz - He had already fought BENDO for the LW Title.
Jose Aldo - Was the FW Champion
Chad Mendes - Interim FW Title Fight. And Chad had already fought Aldo for the FW Title.

It is not only who you fight, but when you fight them. It makes a big difference! Before he fought Conor, the biggest fight Khabib had ever been in, was against Al Iaquinta(a guy who wasn't even ranked in the top 10).

I have said the same thing for Eddie Alvarez. Justin Gaethje has lost 2 out of his last 3 fights. But when Eddie fought Justin, he was undefeated. Anthony Pettis is 3-4 since he fought Eddie. But when they fought, Pettis had just lost the UFC LW Belt in his last fight, and was the # 1 ranked contender at LW. Gilbert has lost 5 out of his last 6 fights. But when he fought Gilbert, Melendez was ranked # 4, and had only lost 2 times(in Title fights) in the previous 6 years.

RDA was on a 5 fight UFC win streak before the Khabib fight and coming off of a win over Cerrone.

He then went on another 5 fight UFC win streak after the Khabib loss, KOing Bendo just 4 months after losing to Khabib and winning the LW title less than a year after losing to Khabib.

If you want to throw shade at Khabib then there is material there to work with but discrediting the RDA win does not stand up against the facts.

Khabib is an amazing talent, but when I look at his resume, I cannot understand how people call him the GOAT @ LW. Khahbib has only had to face 1 fighter that had either been a Champion(when they fought), or at the very least fought in a Championship fight. His record might soon look different, now that he has to face Top-5 contenders for the rest of his career.

There is nothing contradictory about:

1. Someone being a legit great fighter, and
2. That same person's record being padded more than usual for someone with X number of fights

Both are true in Khabib's case. I'm not going to check, but he had damn near 15 (?) wins against guys named Abdul something in Russia without Wikipedia pages.

People use the same argument to discredit Machida's undefeated run: "his opponents were shit, look at their records now!"

But when they fought:
- Hoger was a solid fighter coming off a split decision to future champ Rashad
- Heath was undefeated 9-0 with 7 finishes
- KazNak was a solid entry from PRIDE
- Soko had just KOd both Arona and Lil Nog
- Tito was still in his prime and coming off a draw with future champ Rashad
- T Silva was a roided 13-0 monster with 12 finishes
- Rashad was the 1st ever undefeated LHW UFC champ, 13-0-1 with 4 KOs in his last 6 fights!

All of their careers were destroyed by Machida. Now people say "they were shit".
