I like Khabib, but considering the amount of hype he gets, his actual accomplishments dont match up with the level of hype he gets. And for some reason sherdog does always seem to give Khabib a free pass for everything. This thread is to simply bring logic and truth into the fray and only talk about the facts.


Khabib's best win is a pre-prime RDA.

But here is who Khabib beat on his way to the "title"

Khabib had such a gifted paved yellow brick road to the title. Simply because he is the UFC's new propaganda hypejob. (Conor's popularity was actually organic built from real grassroots. Conor is the biggest star in combat sports history)

Khahib then beat #11 Al Aquinta to win his fake belt (Heck even Tony beat a higher ranked fighter for the interium title).

Not under any good conscious can you call someone with this body of work "the best."

If you are a sane logical mind you can not in any good conscious call Khabib the "undisputed champ" when he never beat Conor, or even Tony.

The UFC was so desperate to gift Khabib a belt, that they stripped Conor and Tony. Then for their "Khabib title match" pitched up a total soft ball for Khabib in Al Aquinta

The LW belt was actually legit when Conor held it

Conor actually won the legit lineal undisputed REAL title (from BJ to Frankie to Benson to Pettis to RDA to Alvarez)

The real lineage is with Conor, and stays with Conor

For the sake of rankings and integrity we must support Conor to come and KO Khabib, to restore lineage and significance back to the LW division again

Plus with Khabib always getting injured and taking months off for ramadan, this is going to be awful.

Conor must make LW great again

Conor sleeps Khabib in round 2 and restores normalcy back to the world.

And hasn't defended the belt in over 500 days

If conor defended the fucking belt then we wouldnt be having these sorts of shit threads.

Conor will have to wait. Khabib wants a fight with GSP. A win over GSP does so much more for him than Conor. They could set Conor up with Tony or another top guy.

This is hogwash.

Two fights later RDA beat Bendo and four fights later he won the belt from Pettis. RDA had a five fight streak and was indeed in his prime.

He also has a top five win over Edson and top fifteen win over Ragin Al. 26-0.

All Conor has at LW is Eddie who is the Bisping of LW.
 
We don't have a real undisputed champion at LW at the moment.

1) Real champ: Conor McGregor as he hasn't be defeated as champion

2) Most deserving champ: Tony Ferguson as he has the best resume

3) Paper champ: Khabib for winning the belt against an 11th ranked guy

Conor wont be fighting anytime soon. He is due in court in june and after all the law suits, penalties from the NYSAC, immigration (work visa problems) and bs he has got to go through, I don't see him fighting for at least a year.. so that would be over 900 days no fighting. Not something you expect of a real champion! The ufc's "problem child" brings about his own demise!

Not necessarily, Khabib said in the press conference that he doesn't see the need for GSP to come back and fight, especially because he has never made 155 and Ariel said he talked to GSP via the phone and GSP said that Khabib has more work to do at 155 before they can fight, so the fights to make are either Khabib v Conor which Khabib said he is keen for or Khabib v Tony but Khabib said that Tony needs to fight another guy in the mean time just like he had to when he didn't make it to the fight
